Are these made from whole plants?

NO. Solgar Earth Source Multi Vitamin would fit that requirement. Earth Source has been out of stock for over 3 months. Try Nature's Plus "SOURCE of LIFE" Multiple vitamin.. it is the "original" whole food Vitamin.

In what shipping container do they use, a bag or secure box? Last one I bought broke and had glass everywhere.

The bottle itself was in a little sturdy box (about the size of the bottle itself. Then that box was sent in a mailing bag. It arrived safely.

I does not state SOY FREE anywhere on the label..it would be a safe bet that some form of soy is used in manufacturing process.
