Still Sitting Oryoki Bowl Set (Black)

This is a wonderful and simple basic set for formal Zen meals. The cloths are wonderfully sewn and the utensils are nice but simple.

This set is well-designed and appointed for use as a traditional oryoki set. Very pleased!

Great communication with seller, very carefully packaged, reasonably priced. Attractive utensils and nicely sewn cloths. Also quick shipping! This was the best set I could find online for the cost.

If you have the time, research what is needed and build the set yourself. A few of us bought this set for our Jukai training (taking of the precepts) and we all had similar complaints: 1) the chopsticks were too thick and awkward, even for those of us who were well versed in using them; 2) the napkins wouldn't absorb anything, even after washing them; 3) a small spatula would have worked better than the wooden tool supplied. With that said, the price would be cut in half if you built it yourself.

When going on some Buddhist retreat center orikyio was required.This would have been nice to have. Enjoy it is a real experience . A good disapline for older children to learn.Familybonding time.

The cloth material is not ideal as its not absorbent and the colors shows any food from clean up. I learned that you can easily make a set with dish towels and cloth napkins, bowls and utensils from target or goodwill etc
