Q: can it be programmed to open close at pre-determined times ?

No this is only a remote not a timer/remote . Somfy has one it is only a single channel it's the telis 1 chronis timer. Thanks Gloria

Yes this works with any RTS Somfy motor.

Q: Will this work with a Sunsetter motorized awning?

Depends on the motor Sunsetter uses. The Somfy remote works only with Somfy motors, but Somfy is the world's largest and best manufacturer (in my opinion) of motors for shades and screens and awnings, so there are many third party manufacturers that use Somfy motors. One ad that I saw for Sunsetter, shows a person holding a Somfy remote. Somfy makes a 1 Channel, 5 Channel and 16 Channel remote. You would only need a 1 Channeln unless you have more than one awning. I would think that the remote is included with the awning.

Q: Can this be used to replace a simu 70103 remote?

Simu is part of Somfy so should be compatible.
