Transformed my shower/steam room into a luxury spa.
I renovated a bathroom some years ago to have an enlarged shower with a bench seat and frameless glass, but installed a steam generator as well to create a sauna. I've been enjoying it for a long time but something always seemed to be missing. It dawned on me one day that if I could build a teak floor over the ceramic tile that it would both give it an improved esthetic as well as a much greater spa-like feel. I anticipated a complicated project fabricating everything myself buying raw teak from a sawmill or supplier, so the project was put on a back burner as I imagined it would be time consuming. I happened to stumble across these teak tiles, actually on another website. It looked like exactly what I was looking for but didn't know existed. As usual, I had to check if Amazon had them available at a similar price and sure enough here they were, though at a slightly higher price. For the peace of mind of their superior customer service, I opted to order just one box though I knew that would not be quite enough, but I could get an idea of if these tiles would meet my needs. They arrived and sure enough, they are indeed genius. The slats themselves are a sufficient size and thickness that I believed they would be durable. Assembly is literally a snap. I know from time to time I will need to scrub the tiles underneath but even with my fitment making a snug fit, I knew they could be lifted and reinstalled in minutes. The color is not really represented well in any of the photos people submitted and probably in my own photo. The color almost makes it look like wood palates are played on the floor. Instead the color is deeper and warmer as I desired it to be. Some cutting was, of course required once the main blocks were snapped into place. I used both a jigsaw and an oscillating tool to make the cuts to fit into my space. Even with multiple cuts needed, it still was so simple. I had most of my second box of tiles left so opted to use them to make a six block standing mat for in front of my bathroom vanity and another two block mat for just outside the shower door. For the amount of coverage and use for less than $200, its really a phenomenal value to me. Building just the floor myself from scratch would have been more expensive just for the materials. I almost opted to cancel my order and thought it was another one of my hairbrained schemes since I am constantly upgrading and making changes and imagined I was just overdoing things with another project. Not so. I absolutely love the feel of showering or steaming standing and sitting on the teak. It finally has the feel of being in a high end spa. Such a genius product, so easy to use and with outstanding tactile and esthetic results. Highly recommended.

4 Stars until proven
I have just installed a 350 sq foot patio or I should say I just covered a 350 sq foot patio using 35 boxes of -"Bare Decor EZ-Floor Interlocking Flooring Tiles in Solid Teak Wood Oiled Finish (Set of 10), Long 9 Slat"- and they look amazing. Well worth the HIGH PRICE TAG. In my wife's and in my opinion that is. I have not finished the entire patio yet (edging not completed yet) but I will give 4 Stars for now because WOW they do really look good. I will update after they have been used and exposed to the North East elements for a few months. OH and they were so easy to put together that my wife and I (me disable 58 & my wife well lets just say Retired) did 350sq feet -35 Boxes- in just under 5 hours. No I am not kidding but right now my back and knees hate me & so dose my wife's back and knees hate her. AND there were very few broken tiles & they were still useable. I have high hopes for these tiles because I also perched 2 of the "Bare Decor Chesser Half Circle Bench in Solid Teak Wood, 17" High, Brown" that will go on my patio and the benches look incredible. (1 bench the other one is still in the mail) So I'm hoping that all the "Bare Decor" products are just as good. The delivery went as well as a very large order like this could go.

Very nice, easy to install flooring tiles.
These seem to be very good quality wooden floor tiles. Unlike other reviewers mentioned, I ordered 15 boxes of tiles and did not have an issue with a single tile. I was able to lay down the floating flooring to cover our entire screened patio by having all of the pieces lock together. We went with this more expensive wood option due to the longevity and weather proofing it offers when compared to other types. One tip I found when installing this. If you are going to have to cut the pieces at all; make sure you first buy plenty of extra screws to hold the pieces together. You dont want to be scavenging spare tiles having to swap screws from one piece to another. **Update, after having the flooring out and exposed to the weather for a year the wood had faded considerably and would absorb some water. I purchased the recommended teak cleaner and oil and it brought the floor back to looking good and repelling water. So plan on some yearly maintenance if you want this product to last long term.

Great for shower floor
I could not find a shower mat in teak for my size shower for less than $700 which is a bit more than I wanted to spend. So we opted for these tiles. The cut on the width is super easy you can cut the bottom with wire cutter snip. You can cut lengthwise my husband used duct tape to keep boards stable then added additional screws to replace any that were cut off. They fit together easily the entire job, lay out measuring, cutting and putting down took about 90 minutes total. We love the spa look, I will update in a few months on the hardiness of the teak wood. The wood is treated with oil and water is beading right now. Entire floor took two boxes, but we have 9 pieces left over. 36 x 42 shower 8 whole pieces and cut 6 pieces.

Great quality
Don’t know too much about wood but got these cause of some good reviews. Got one box at first and end up liking it so got three more boxes. Total of 4 boxes for the little patio. It was easy to install but would suggest wearing gloves. The wood looked oiled when recieved which is probably a good thing. Our patio is just concrete and after putting this easy to assemble wood made it look so much better. It’s more inviting to go to the patio now. It’s a little pricey but quality is really good. It was packaged nicely and organized. No damages. Very happy with these.

The best purchase I have made in long time.
I am one of those weird people that HATE drains of any kind... yes its weird. Well our new house had a 33 by 33 nice shower with cool rain head coming out of the ceiling. The bad part is the drain was in the middle where you stand. NOPE. I tried making something myself to no avail and one night I saw these. I purchased two boxes and did not have high hopes. I was shocked at how nice these are made, and the ease of how they snap together. It took a little bit to figure out the layout and I only needed to cut 3/4 of an inch off one side. Home depot sells a circ saw blade made for finishing and it cut it smooth. Now I have a fancy floor and don't have to deal with that awful drain.

Some Planning Before Ordering Will Save You Lotsa Time and Money
DIY's need to exercise caution when ordering parts for your configuration. Every tile has two adjacent pin ends and two adjacent loop ends. Planning for a 3 x 3 square configuration takes some thought and had I known, this project is not as inexpensive as first thought to be. I suggest laying out your configuration on paper prior to purchase using the above tile description. Simply drawing a square then placing where you want the pin or loop edges inside the squares will make your project much easier to order the correct parts. On your drawing make sure each pin edge meets a loop edge. My area to cover with these interlocking teak tiles was 3 squares wide and 3 squares long for a total of 9 sq ft in the shower. Package arrived without instructions for installation but connecting the tiles was not difficult at all. However, in order to achieve this 3 x 3 tile configuration without a loop end showing is not possible. So when you order the trim ends keep that in mind. Given my configuration you will have parts on the floor even if you get the correct parts. The corner trim packages appear (although not specified) to come with 4 loop and 4 pin trim pieces for each corner - simple. That will satisfy any trim configuration if you want to get the corner trim package for ~$60 Both tile configurations (both 10 to a box) are about the same price - either $69 / $79 depending on desired style.. The last components are what you will need for the non corner trim pieces that come 8 to a box. What is not shown is that you can get either a loop or a pin trim configuration - I bought all loops accidentally. Either pin tor loop trim is $65. You can also get one of each for ~$15. After the corners are purchased, perhaps it is worthwhile to buy pairs for $15. As you can see this project done with the correct parts is more expensive than first glance. Tiles are avg. of $75 between the two styles, A corner trim package is $60. A dedicated pin and a loop package is $65 but to do the project correctly you need a package of each which is $130 That total comes to ~$270. One of the other reviewers said they purchased one package and jury rigged it with zip ties which would save $65 but that does not seem fair to me from a perspective of full disclosure to me if you want to do this project correctly. At this point I am $79 (tiles) + $60 (8 loop trim pieces). I have elected to skip the corner trim and buy a box of pin trim for $60. I would suggest that if you get someone else to do a similar project in their home each buy the respective 10 tiles, each buy a corner package for $60 and get a box of loop and pin to share for $130. For me, I am probably going to return the package of 8 looped finishing pieces for credit. Then order a corner kit of 4 looped and 4 pin pieces for $60 and then order a pair of loop / pin pieces for $15. In conclusion, ( I know you have been waiting) I love the look of it in my shower and it is a 5 but I gave it a 3 only because the ordering sequence is not described at all and that can save a great deal of time and money for this project. I suggest selecting the tile design first, then order the corner package and then order the paired loop / pin trim parts as required. The dedicated packages of 8 loop or pin trim pieces are a waste of money IMO unless you are doing a large project or are able to share costs for a similar project with a friend. UPDATE After returning unnecessary items and ordering the correct ones, (corner kit and 4 end pieces), here is how the project turned out along with the teak shower caddy to go with the flooring and a teak bench I had purchased previously. My shower square footage is larger than most, as you can see with the 9 sq. ft. configuration easily fits with some original tile border. I plan to get a few rubber washers (1/2 - 3/4 high) to randomly place (particularly around the drain) under the configuration to prevent movement and have the tiles higher above the floor. I plan to occasionally spray the walls / corners of the shower with Clorox Clean Up (or similar brand) so it runs toward the drain in order to prevent mildew / odor and keep the ceramic tile shower floor sanitary beneath the teak platform. Good luck! Here are the pictures of the completed project..
