Will this make cotten tees soft

This will absolutely help make your cotton tees soft. -The Downy Team

The bottle states 51 fl. oz., but if you look at the bottle at just the right angle, you can see it's not filled all the way up...so I'd say they go strictly by weight.

Does It Work On Polyester?

It doesn't say anything about polyester. It says do not use on fluffy fabrics such as fleece, velour, chenille and terry cloth, or anything flame resistant/retardent.
