Value, and perfect clarity in the same sentence
Buy this now, it provides absurd power for such a tiny mobile package. Has great battery life, and crystal clear audio output through this. The value is absurd for such a great little amp. If you're on the fence for an amp for a pair of head phones, this will accomplish what you need(as they power my Fostex T50RP's just enough, but those cans are power hungry)Do not hesitate buying this item, its exceptionally made(aluminum), and offers tremendous function for its price.

Love this little guy
Ok, so let me start this with saying that this is my first headphone amp(smsl sap7), and that my experience with headphone amps is slim to none at this point. I was looking for an entry level portable headphone amp to mess around with at home, and maybe take with my when I'm traveling. The headphones that I own(m50x, sr80e, shp9500s) are all easy to push and do not require an amp. Saying that, damn this amp makes the headphones above sound sooo much better. Its a night and day difference. Going back to straight phone output, or even my macbook headphone jack, they all sound dull and quiet. Sound is obviously louder, but the headphones sound fuller, mids/highs are more pronounced, bass is punchier.Well worth the money, just get it if you're having second thoughts.

and i love it. high-quality components
i first discovered smsl when i bought a non-portable headphone amp on ebay. and i love it. high-quality components, clean sound and best of all inexpensive. as for the sap-7, which is smaller (size of a mint can) and battery operated, it's the same experience. despite being a china-brand, i would recommend smsl products all because they deliver in terms of quality, sound and are reasonable pricing.
