Yes. Chomps through lots without overheating or getting jammed. However I never try to use max sheets as never used a shredder that can do that for more than one feed if that. Only minor gripe is touch controls can be a bit temperamental - maybe I don’t have the right touch?

After using for 3 minutes turned off for over an hour but it won’t star

Yep - mine does exactly the same. I've been putting mine in the fridge - really!!! Every time the red heat warning comes on, five minutes in the fridge sorts in for another few sheets. Maximum sheets on the shredder says 10. Mine struggles with 3, so 2 at a time is the norm. Then the damn thing overheats! They really are terrible things.

I wouldn't recommend even trying to cut cardboard. This shredder seems to slow down with more than two sheets of A4.
