Has anyone else experienced this? "buzzes like an old CRT in the high frequency near audible range"

Had this for a few days. Best AP UI has made. Double the range for sure. NO is does not hum. It is dead silent. See my video.

Is there a way for the blue light to be dimmed? It’s super bright at night.

In the controller, you can turn off the light.

Why is this so much over the $179 msrp on unifi's site?

To be fair, the current price on this item on Amazon ($216) isn't terrible, and it arrives in 2 days if you have Prime with free shipping. I just ordered this same AP from Ubiquiti direct, paid $204 with tax and shipping and it took a week to arrive. So if you need it immediately and/or it is out of stock on the Ubiquiti site, this is a decent alternative.

can it be installed on new contruction ?

Yes You need a network and a poe router To set it up fir it to work.
