Just get the right tool
I tried the "hammer on the ground" version of attaching snaps to canvas - destroyed a lot of snaps that way. This tool made things so darn easy! Just spend the extra $$$ and do it right. In the end (like me), if you go the cheap route, you will end up buying two tools when you could have only bought the 1)
