Miitopia (Nintendo Switch)

There are a few aspects to rate on this game: Gameplay: The game is really fun and silly. I had fun putting all of the mii's i had made in tomodachi life into this game. I played it for hours when it arrived, and even now i pick it up from time to time. I like that you can speed up all parts of the game (cutscenes, travelling, battles, etc) for impatient people like myself. I like the inns! It's cute to make your characters go on dates, and i love that you can get an outing ticket for your horse. Difficulty: SUPER easy! Even if you suck at turn based battle, you'll get by just fine, especially if you have a good relationship with your team. It's quite a chill game you can play absentmindedly while watching tv (if you like to absorb as much media as possible to prevent a thought occurring) Character customisation: You can reallllyyy customise your mii's in this one. I wish you could do even half as much personalising in tomodachi life. However!!!! You can't use the game hair/wigs and wear a hat at the same time which is a little annoying. Horse: yes Notes: It is much cheaper on amazon than in the nintendo estore!!!

Due to a hectic life I can only play my switch for 10 minutes at a time (a few days a week) and games that need a bit of time or need your brain switched on are no good for me. So would Miitopia be any good for me? I’ve never played it before and I hadn’t tried the demo but someone said it’s “full on Nintendo” so that got my interest. Pros This game is funny and I mean crazy, stupid, what?!?!, weird and crazy funny. It’s off the charts The mini games are straight out of wario ware (or they might as well be - they are crazy too) Graphics, sound effects and music are top notch (reminds me of animal crossing) You can use any amiibos for cool gear (but only once) The game is on rails but you can set auto play and sit back and just have fun watching things play out. Stages last 5-10 minutes, perfect for pick up and play. Virtually all characters in the game can be designed by you! So you can go crazy and have the cast of avengers on your squad or your family, or your workplace, or your favourite show etc You can speed through the game by pressing ‘B’ this can save a lot of time The things the characters do and say is hilarious especially if you’ve formed a bond The food system is super original - feed your team certain foods to improve their stats You get a horse ? Is that good? I turned mine into a unicorn (horn included) The relationship system is brilliant, so if you want to get to know your team you spend time with them and it gives you gameplay bonuses and equipment presents off your friends. I can go on forever with the pros - so I’ll stop there. Cons This game is easy and I mean really easy. I repeated a few stages for exp points thinking the difficulty would ramp up -but it didn’t so now all fights are super easy. The game relationship system can be weird - if you spend all your time with one character the others get jealous and fights start! Designing miis can take a lot of work - but the results can be amazing (is this a pro or a con?) Er that’s it. I can see people being put off by the quirkiness or the basic RPG game play - but I loved it.

Bought this for my granddaughter aged 8yrs. She loves it and plays it all the time. I do t u derstand games but all her cousins use it and have a lot of fun.

Great game, very funny. We used to have it on the Nintendo 3DS a few years ago. My daughter loved it so much we got it again for the switch. 🙂

Silly little game. Bought this because tomodachi life isn't available for the switch. I don't regret it. It's such a silly and cute game, I love adding my friends and my favourite show characters in my party. 🥺

I've received this game previously as gift, but the box came up empty and I had to return it and buy it again. It's a nice game, funny and not that difficult. As you use the different Mii's you have in the Nintendo Swicth (or the ones you create in the game or pick up from the community), you end up with a weird party, in a good way. It is indeed a very silly game, so you'll have fun while playing.
