it says long cage & Capacity: long 39t Cassette Range: long 11-28t through 11-34t too many numbers here but not computing correctly is it 39t or 34t?

39t is the capacity of the rear derailleur. To determine if your setup will work with this derailleur you need to sum the differentials of the cogs, and the crankset. This is done by subtracting the number of teeth of the smallest cog from the largest cog. For example if you're running an 11-34 cassette you'd do the following; 34 - 11 = 23. Then you'd do the same for the crankset, so if you're running a compact it would be; 50 - 34 = 16. Next you sum the two results 23 + 16 = 39, and 39 is the maximum capacity of the RD-R7000 GS. You can use a smaller cassette than 11-34 with this derailleur, but 11-34 is the max. according to Shimano.

Would this work with a 10 speed shifter and cassette?

Will work, running Tiagra shifters and 10 speed cassette and saving this way about 100 grams compare to 11 speed cassette

Will this work with the Shimano Ultegra shifter?

You always match speed rating to speed rating; an 11-speed shifter to an 11-speed rear deraileur and sprocket; I am unaware, if there are adaptions, or adapters, for differing speeds; you need to then check the Ultegra speed of the shifter; even if 11-speed, an older Ultegra, might take more adjustment to work with the 105 R7000 (new design); since I havenever mixed groupsets, I cannot advise they strictly matched speeds resolves all issues; though, the R7000 is mfg expressed as “trickle down design) it should work with Ultegra (if speeds are matched); sorrry for long message, hope this helps, good riding; cheers

Perfetto.

Acquistato per sostituire un deragliatore 105 RD-5800. Compatibilità perfetta con i comandi 105 sempre della serie 5800. Ci si guadagna in fluidità nella cambiata. Questo modello, con gabbia GS, arriva fino a 34 denti. Ho sostituito le pulegge originali con quelle Ultegra RD-R8000 per migliorare la scorrevolezza perché sono con cuscinetti a sfera sigillati.

シャドー型で気に入りました。

スプロケ32Tの導入に合わせて5800シリーズのSSから交換しました。新型だけあって気に入りました。車体からはみ出しの少ないシャドー型、変則もスムーズ。ただ、後輪の着脱にはデイレイラーが邪魔になるので、てを添える必要があり、少し気を使うようになりました。
