I love this! It's nice, small, works great with my sand pump! Water flows perfectly, easy to use, Install was great with instructions. It is not loud which is great!

If you have a above ground pool you need this pump. Stop fooling around with the toy pump that came with the pool and get something like this that moves a ton of water, has great pressure and built to last. We had purchased a large cartridge filter at a yard sale but it lacked a pump. Well after some debate i landed on this one and am i glad i did. This thing is quiet, so quiet compared to the original pump. And it works 4 times better. Its so quiet that i had to put a small ball in the strainer so i could tell it was running. Cuz the only noise i heard was a hum like a machine on standby but its really pumping and with great suction and pressure.

The pump suction and discharge connections are 1.5"-NPT (female). NPT is tapered thread, but somehow the pump had raised lips inside preventing the male connectors from going further until a full thread engagement was made for a complete sealing. I had to get a tool to remove the raised lips then smoothed the inside bores with a file; otherwise, it would leak like crazy. The pump was advertised to draw suction lift (water surface below pump center-line) so it could be used for in-ground pool as in my case, where the water level is 5ft below the pump and the suction piping is 25ft long. I installed a foot-valve (or a check-valve) at the tip of the suction pipe because this is a fundamental requirement for any suction lift arrangement, which I did not see in the Installation-Operation Manual. After the initial priming, the pump is on a timer for 12-hour operation, it works flawlessly as a self-priming pump with no leakage. It runs very quietly and smoothly for few months now, it develops the same pump pressure and flow rate as my old pump but about it's 1/2 the size of my old pump. I'd have given it a 5 stars if I didn't have to do those modifications to the suction and discharge connections or if the installation of a foot valve was mentioned in the Manual for in-ground application.

Nice quiet pump. Works great and was a good price. I use it for my pool which is about 9000 gallons. Very easy to install doesn't come with connectors. Which the threads are on the inside.

This pump is clearly advertised as SELF-PRIMING....but this is absolutely not accurate; it will not self-prime! I used this pump for a small duck pond and I placed it about 3 inches above the water line. I plugged it in and expected it to self-prime (pull water into the pump) and given that it was a mere 3 inches above the pump and less then 2-feet away from the pond it should work: NOTHING....the motor spins but without water inside the pump, nothing happens. The pump is quiet and seems to run smooth but it's lightweight and no way this thing is a true 3/4-HP, I doubt it's even 1/2-HP and in the end you once again get what you pay for but in so far as self-priming, it is NOT Update: the plastic cap/lid that fits over the filter has now broken twice! The design is poor with weak and thin plastic. It tends to leak but if you tighten it too much it breaks. This last time I lubed the threads and tightened it just enough to seal.....but after months of exposure to the sun, it cracked, now I need to buy a 3rd one for $28 and it's not easy finding/contacting the company. I would NOT buy this pump again!

Great pump for above ground pools

Had to add some pvc reducer to fit my pool but I am thoroughly impressed. Its an amazing motor for its size. This was an upgrade from the crappy intex motor the pool came with. The difference is right and day. Highly recommend

If you look at the advert for this product it shows a .75 HP motor but the pump shows .45 HP THP on the top of control box. Odd choice to limit the motor to .45HP but advertise it as 3/4. Technically yes. Its a 3/4 HP motor but that's NOT what your getting. Anyway. This is the second one I've gotten. We thought the old on we had died last summer after a lightning storm blew our GFCI outlet and then it the motor wouldnt turn over. Turns out that it had just sat for too long. Brought it in and manually turned it over and it started right back up. Pulled THIS one in for the winter and just reinstalled it. Didn't work so we put the old on back on. Brought this one in and gave it a manual turn over. Again. Started right up. I guess I'm good to go on pool pumps for a few years... Its cheap but works fairly well for a small Intex pool. Just don't believe that its a .75HP system. ONLY the motor is rated for .75. They REALLY should fix that.

El tamaño es muy pequeño, la compré para reemplazar una bomba de 0.5 hp, y ésta con 50% más potencia, ocupa mucho menos espacio. El nivel de ruido es muy bajo, y por la corriente que ocupa, pude conectarla a un enchufe inteligente, con lo que me ahorré el programador, y puedo controlar su operación desde cualquier dispositivo

Es un equipo con excelente funcionalidad.

Hasta la fecha no me han hecho el reembolso ya tienes más de un mes que se envió el producto se devolvió por qué se apagaba a cada rato muy mal espero la devolución del dinero

Espero y sea verdad lo que dice que es de 3/4 ka probaré y verificar el amp aver si si es cierto hay le platico pero se ve muyyyyy ...... X ...
