Took the gamble and it paid off. Great webcam
This is a higher end webcam aimed at streamers who don't want to upgrade to a DSLR + Camlink setup. Most reviewers seem to agree that the build quality and picture quality of this device are top notch. However, the auto-focus constantly hunts and pulses the focus level and is therefore unusable. Razer released a firmware upgrade to address this problem, but a lot of manufactured Kiyo Pros aren't actually compatible with the upgrade, despite the software prompting you to do so, and are considered faulty by Razer. Other reviews mention the firmware upgrade bricking the webcam. I took a gamble and purchased the Kiyo Pro because I was looking for a higher end webcam that works well in low light situations. I only intend on using manual focus anyway. But out of sheer curiosity, I decided to see if I could upgrade the firmware. My device shipped at firmware version 1.03, indicating that it was manufactured a bit more recently. I was able to upgrade it to 1.05, which is the latest version. It worked! As a buyer, I would still urge caution if you're looking to buy this and you're dead set on upgrading the firmware, but I just wanted to write about my experience.I tested out the auto-focus and it still isn't great, but it's nowhere near as bad as what I've seen in some video reviews. It doesn't hunt all the time, but it seems to want to focus on my background instead of on me. Doesn't really matter to me, as I still plan to use manual focus. The picture quality is sharp and the colors seem very accurate with auto white balance.I returned my AverMedia PW513 for this and I'm very pleased. I chose this over the Elgato Facecam, which I have not tested. I spent hours testing the webcam today in different lighting situations, and with Razer Synapse, OBS and Google Meet, and I haven't had any issues (granted I've only had it for one day). I'll be sure to update this review if it ever poops out on me.

Kiyo Pro vs Logitech c920
For a year and a half, I had used a Logitech c920. My c920 features the Carl Zeiss lens. The c920 served me well and I never had any issues with it. However, I desired a camera that had better image quality. When I noticed the Kiyo Pro on sale for $99, I decided to give it a try. I have not been disappointed. The image quality on the Kiyo Pro is markedly better.I use the cam strictly with ZOOM. I use a green screen and alternate backgrounds for every meeting. I have excellent lighting and with a little effort have been able to present my image without ghosting which is common with everyone I have seen trying to use a virtual background. The Kiyo Pro makes it even easier to eliminate ghosting. With the Kiyo Pro, I do not even have to light my green screen separately as I did with the c920. I turn on the key lights and hair lamp and that is it. For someone wanting to use a virtual background and green screen, this camera will improve your image and decrease ghosting, however, you will continue to experience ghosting with a poor setup.Speaking of a poor setup; if your lighting is less than ideal, you will love this camera. The low light capabilities are head and shoulders better than the c920. Very little light is needed to provide a clear image in comparison to the c920.I've had the camera for a month. On first use, I was prompted to install updated firmware. The installation was completed without issue. Whatever problems others have had, seems to have been corrected, at least in my case.As far as the autofocus that is the disdain of most reviewers, I believe that it is probably much improved. Although I can say that it is far from perfect. Compared to the c920, I would say neither is that good with the autofocus, although the Kiyo Pro does seem to hunt for focus a little more often. Both cameras do however focus correctly. Since I am for the most part setting still in front of the camera I could turn off autofocus and adjust manually, but it is not so bad that I have thought about doing that. The Razer Synapse software used to adjust the image and field of view works well and is easy to use. I have seen a lot of reviews complaining about it for various reasons, but I have had no issues. However, once you configure your settings, you do have to make sure you check the box that allows the software to load on Windows startup. Everyone's setup will require unique settings, yet for the most part, the out of box settings in my case was excellent. I simply selected the narrow field of view and added a little warmth and it looks great. I do not use the HDR.Now for the bad:On a number of occasions, the image has either frozen or presented a black screen. This has not occurred unless I have stopped my video (ZOOM controls) and then restarted. Or have switched between Synapse and ZOOM. So if I am in a ZOOM meeting, it works perfectly as long as I don't stop my video. If I do stop the video and then restart the video by clicking on the ZOOM controls, about one out of 5 times, the video does not return. In that case, I have to unplug the camera and replug. Fortunately, my USB port is on the side of my monitor and is therefore easy to do.I can't comment on the microphone since I use a Tonor mic.

Basically the best quality you're gonna find from a webcam
I had a logitech c922 for 4 years, using it for streaming. Logitech webcams however, do not save their settings when you restart your computer, so I basically either had to use the default settings or waste hours of my life resetting up the thing before stream. This Kiyo Pro is a different story. Whether you edit the settings in the razer app, or in windows, it'll save your settings. And while the out of the box settings for the kiyo pro are already better than what the c922 was, the Kiyo Pro blows the c922 out of the waters if you teak the numbers a bit.The HDR function is really good for smoothing out lighting. If you have no lighting it will make your camera look decent, if you have some lighting it will make your camera look good. It does make some things look deep fried in a sense if it has an abundance of light on it, but it's not too much of an issue, and you can turn it off if that's the case.I have a bit of trouble with the Razer Synapse app, and sometimes I'll have to unplug and replug in the webcam for the picture to come back (which is easier to too since you can unplug the usb cable in the back of the camera.) The fps can also become a problem if you have some settings turned on (like auto exposure or something like that?) But that is fixable with some tweaking.Overall, I'm very happy as a streamer with this upgrade. It's not quite the quality you'd get with a $500 camera hooked up through hdmi, but if you're not looking to spend that much yet, I think this is a great option.

Beautiful webcam, firmware updates have addressed Auto Focus issues
I bought it when it still had...problems. When this cam was released the auto focus was entirely non-functional, something you'll likely see a lot in the reviews. For good reason. I wound up setting the focus manually, and if you did it was a great camera. The "HDR" (it's not true HDR) function is awesome, really useful in challenging light situations. This is a webcam you can throw into most rooms, click the "auto" buttons, and get a solid and usable picture.Dark rooms, bright rooms, dark rooms with a bright spot, no issues. From what I can tell it accomplishes this by running dual exposure settings, on alternating frames, and blending that into a single 30fps image. But I'm not a camera expert. I just know it can "contain" bright spots to avoid washing out the rest of the image, and reduces those bright spots to avoid overexposure. Specifically, it does a great job with bright spots on my bald head! Laugh it up, but it's a real challenge sometimes. The 60fps mode is also good, though you lose the "HDR" option. So as long as you can control and tune your lighting situation for it, you can get a solid 1080p60 video out of this. It's sharp, the colors are good, no complaints. It doesn't do 4K. You probably don't need to do 4K. For live streaming or teleconferencing, you absolutely don't need to do 4K. If you were doing pre-recorded video with it, being able to punch in without losing resolution would be nice, obviously. But for 90% of usage, 4K would be wasted...Razer knew this, which is why they released a 1080p camera while everybody else was scrambling to put 4K on their boxes. The Synapse software is...fine. I'm not a huge fan.

Save time and money and just toss it in the garbage if it stops working.
See last paragraph re: what happens if it stops working. It comes with serviceable, but not utterly intuitive software ("Synapse") that allows you to control camera settings. However, while synapse is running, it won't let any other program (Zoom, video recorders, etc) access the camera. And if you turn off synapse, it appears that your settings will not be applied within the other program. So it's unclear whether Synapse actually does anything useful. I've spent an hour with tech support, and they don't seem to understand the question: "How do I get these settings to work in other programs?" I'm probably going to try working with OBS software (free video & recording) - but it's freeware and not supported, and the Razer people are clueless. But, used alone, with zoom, it's a really great camera. It would not be overpriced if one could take advantage of all the range of available settings.ADDENDUM 05/13/22 After using the unit for a few months, it suddently started working only intermittently. The computer would not recognize the peripheral (Kiyo Razer). Sometimes exiting the zoom session, or unplugging and replugging the unit, or rebooting the computer, which we tried in every permutation, once and a while, will allow the camera to be recognized. But, if you try to use the camera again an hour later, it's unable to connect. I spent 5 hours over a few days, dealing with tech support, and they decided it was a hardware issue. The company is based in Singapore (!!!) and while there's a 1 year warranty, It's very involved. You have to pay them their standard retail price (twice what Amazon charges), then they'll ship a replacement, they your return the old unit, and then (it "may take some time" they'll refund your "deposit." And at each stage, you need to speak at length with somebody in Singapore, who sort of answers the questions. It's a horror show, and I'm tempted to just throw it in the garbage.

Ain't complaining for $40, awesome for streaming
Got mine "used" w/ prime day discount so lucked out getting this for $40...I'm def happy with it.After using it I would say it's worth buying at full price.Feels very sturdy. Premium build. Comes with a nice cable like most Razer products. Hell it even comes with a lens cap.No focusing issues during streaming. (I only use this with OBS)It's pretty heavy and comes with a decent mount, so if you bump your set up it wont fall off or bounce around like smaller lighter cams. Has a standard thread on the bottom so if you don't like the mount you can hook it to a tripod or whatever you want. The cam nice video quality. Sharp, vivid colors, and no issues with blurriness/focusing. I haven't had any issues so far.Only thing I haven't tested is the mic, I just dont use cam mics. But yeah this cams great. I'm always moving my set up to random spots in the house. Just wanted something simple/quick to set up with awesome quality. And also wanted something that wasn't going to break the bank. This def hits all the marks. Love it

Do not buy this webcam...
Do not buy this camera. This camera became the bane of my existence the instant it entered my life. I originally bought this camera because it was marketed to be easy to use, plug and play. IT IS NOT.Here is the sequence of events:Recive the camera in the mail, the box itself had good weight to it, turns out 90% of the weight of the camera is from the mount. The camera itself weighs no more than an empty soda can.Plug in camera and open Razer Synapse. Camera is not being detected. Great. (I then try every single one of my other usb slots, 2.0, 3.0, 3.2). Nothing. OK. Restart computer? It's now being detected in the devices menu, but when I turn on the preiveiw for the camera nothing comes up but a grey screen. So I close synapse and go to google for trouble-shooting.Initiate trouble-shooting rabbit hole.I found out I might have the wrong version of synapse, so I uninstall it and reinstall Synapse 3. Restart computer for good luck. Open Synapse. Camera is popping up in devices *yay!*. Camera preview is working and I can see my beautiful face finally. I'm able to refine the settings and get the image to look pretty good, and enter a discord call to show my tech buddies my new toy.The webcam works for 3 seconds and then freezes indefinetly.More trouble-shooting ensues.I find out the webcam might need a firmware update. No problem. I do that, all is well. Restart computer for some more good luck. Camera preview in Synapse looks great. Enter Discord call, camera cannot be detected. Fine. You guessed it, more trouble-shooting.I find out that the discord application has webcam issues itself, so maybe I shouldn't be so hard on the camera and try to fix discord problems that are affecting the webcam. Touble-shoot that stuff and it doesn't fix anything. From there I test the camera in OBS studio, and Twitch. Same problems of either being hard to detect or freezing indefinetly. And now, I am here.Reading into other reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one experiencing these issues/similar ones. I really wanted to like this camera. It has a sleek design and was marketed to be convinient and easy to use. I also really liked that it connected directly to Razer Synapse. The camera also looks great for the couple seconds it works, giving me a taste of whats its capable of but not letting me have it. I don't personally believe I can do anything more on my end that I haven't tried multiple times over already to fix this. I hope my review can help you decide if you're willing to take on this headache of a webcam, or choose another brand like I will be.

Best way to throw away 19000 rupees
You are buying from a vendor who's not a registered reseller according to Razer. My camera stopped working after a couple of months, and I learn this is not covered under warranty because of who I bought it from, I'm assuming amazon can't help either but I'll try.
