Pyrex Simply Store Glass Rectangular and Round Food Container Set (18-Piece, BPA-free)

After years of having to buy new plastic containers as they age out, I decided it was time to get glass. Glass container sets are definitely more expensive to purchase but should last years. I feel like I have to replace my plastic ones every 2 years on average. I purchased Sistema brand containers last year and already have to start replacing the ones I use often (and subsequently go thru the dishwasher often). I settled on the Pyrex brand after doing some research and from personal experience/preference. Pyrex has always been a brand I used and trusted and so far I haven't been disappointed. I like all the different colored lids for some reason.I got this set to supplement another larger 24 piece set I'd purchased from Kohls. Neither set alone could replace all my plastic containers. 3 cup rectangle is great for lunches. 6 cup rectangle is great for storage, a little big for lunches but manageable if needed. 2 cup is perfect for sides or yogurt. 4 cup is great for soup, polenta, fruit for lunches, or taco meat storage (it's a common occurrence in my house). 4 cup would be side salad size I'd say. I'd recommend the 7 cup round for full salads (not included in this set) although the 6 cup rectangle in this one could work as well. I use the 4 cup round and 3 cup rectangle most often for lunches. I use the 4 cup round and 6 cup rectangle most often for food storage in the fridge. I have some 1 cup rounds from the other set that are great for salad dressing, salad toppings, sauces, snacks, etc.I've had them for about a month and they've held up nicely. Reheating is the microwave is no problem but they can get quite hot. I love that I can run them thru the dishwasher and not have to worry about ruining them. I always hand wash the lids. I haven't noticed any leaking issues with these yet. The lids seem pretty tight but I don't think Pyrex advertises that these are leak free.The downside is that they are quite heavy compared to plastic containers but worth it.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.Note: This set was $15 when I purchased.

The quality of these containers is what you would expect from Pyrex, however I'm mostly writing this review to highlight that the containers don't seem to have airtight lids. So if that's what you're looking for, you should consider getting something else. In my case, I should have looked at this more carefully before ordering, but am now stuck with these since it'd be really expensive to return them.

Product did not arrive broken. It had a lot of cushioning from cardboard stands.The round ones are really nice, perfect. The square ones are great too. Just that the lid is hard to remove for the biggest square one and I always hurt my hands a little trying to pry it open. And the small square one has the lid that is not as tight? The middle of the lid sticks up a little and I know that air is going inside. Not a big deal, I put something on top of it.But this is the cheapest glass set out there and it's so convenient that I can use these to bake and store! I am a student that moves houses often and I can't afford to buy a whole set of metal bakeware and then another set of storage containers. No space, no money. It's superb that glass is the healthiest/safest material too.I wash these in the dishwasher. No scratches! At least not to my eyes.
