Metra 99-6700 Dash Kit For Ford/Chry/Jeep 74-03

Item was very easy to install. You will need side radio mounting plates to keep radio from sliding forwards. Side mounting plates will screw onto face plate with predrilled slots. You may need to bend off a few of the mounting points for specific vehicle. This worked great for my aftermarket radio.

Worked great for the installation of my JVC Stereo in my 1993 Dodge W250.

Worked well in 2002 Jeep TJ

The instructions did not list my vehicle as one this kit supports so it did not provide exact instructions. I looked everything over closely because I did not want the delay in having to return it. When comparing it to the factory radio I was easily able to tell it would in fact work perfectly. Just had to make sure I was cutting the correct tabs off. Check twice cut once kind of thing. In the end it fit and works great. Could be a little stronger, but I like overkill in strength so I'm sure it will be ok.

Got this to go with my replacement of the factory stereo in a 1997 Dakota. Followed instructions, fits and looks good, secures to dash as it should, and does provide the basic support to a single din CD player - BUT my only complaint on this...is that there isn't any securing points to the stereo itself...so for me, the stereo itself is still loose and can be taken out very quick and easy (if one wanted to), since it just slides in from the front and doesn't click or attach to the Pioneer stereo I got. I'm used to seeing side plates to secure the stereo to...so I'm going to give it a chance, but I might try to find something else that has sides to secure the stereo to and make it that much more stable (or maybe I might try to figure something else out with this one). But overall, it's decent.
