Capstar Flea Tablets for Dogs and Cats,6 Count,2-25lb, Blue

We have been adopted by a cat that happened to be riddled with fleas and scabs, that was always scratching and cleaning, he was making his little mouth sore with the constant grooming,I took him to vet to get a flea injection but they didn’t do them like my previous vets and told me frontline would work! It hadn’t as we had done it for last 6 months, after reading reviews for Capstar I thought I’d give it a try before going to another vet. Each time I tried to give tablet in pieces of ham it just fell out his mouth so I crunched it up in another piece and most of it was eaten, I’m not someone that can just pop it down their throat, within 10 mins he was going mental scratching , all I was thinking was aaggghhhhh get him in garden so fleas can jump off outside, although I did use flea bombs around house the next morning . Within about 40 mins he was hardly scratching and that was the first night he slept so restfully, the next day what a difference no scratching, none of the intense grooming we were used to seeing and his fur was sooo soft ,we have also put a doc marten spot on vial , capstar does exactly what it says, he got a clean bill of health from vets and we’re ready for any new infestation , highly recommend this product

Great product, worked well and quickly. Cat did itch but this is to be expected as it started to work and irritate the fleas. I was very cautious and kept an eye on my cat, what with the negative reviews on here, but my cat honestly didn’t have any effects of this tablet - I made sure I gave the correct dose for her weight which was one whole tablet. The following day fleas were gone. It only kills adult fleas so you need to follow up with another brand to kill eggs on your pet. Wouldn’t hesitate in buying again, not sure why there are negative reviews.

I had to mix with food. I gave cat tablet for 2 days. After that a week later gave another one . She stopped scratching but I think I will have to give these regularly.

As said, capstar is one of the best flea control products I have used and my cat is soon calmed and settled after its use. a combination of the capstar pill and use of spot-on and area sprays is recommended for a 'belt and braces' approach to infestations! Such is the trials and tribulations of being an animal lover.
