Beginner Friendly Underglaze Cone 5
For a beginner, this pack was great for my budget. The studio i attend sell the bottles individually and vary in price. So purchasing the 2 sets they offered was convenient. Pretty colors to try out.

Bright and vibrant even with a thin coat
Really high quality underglazes. Vibrant even with 1 coat or watercolor wash. Colors don’t burn out. Used at cone 5/6. I’m really happy with these. The little bottles have lasted such a long time and I’ve been using them on everything. Great value for the money. I’m considering buying the 16oz because I’m almost out of one color and the little bottles aren’t always available.

Colors are pale, and red is not bright red.

Good underglaze
I love the color variety. Colors are strong sometimes only requiring 1 coat.

Nice & vivid colors, not watered down
This is my first time to buy speedball brand of underglaze. Very impressed as I usually buy the Amaco and they are very pricey! Love the Speedball colors.

Weird consistency
Used these on a piece that I made using white ceramic paste. Layered on the colors on the bisque piece and found them to be gritty and had a really weird texture. Some colors are super thick and others are too liquidy. Not sure if mine just need to be mixed more or what but so far not too impressed. The colors are very pretty though and you do get good value for money.
