High quality saw, with a few minor set backs..
I have used several different gas powered wet cement saws and still other wimpy electric saws. without water dust control or vacuum port options and honestly this is the best saw I've used for cutting up slab in a basement environment. It is electric so no CO2 and CO gas. It used a standard hose to wet the cut and pretty much eliminates all dust although the cement ladder water does spray up on walls behind the saw so you want to hand plastic or something to contain the spray and reduce clean up. Also, tape the plastic protection to the floor to help channel the water to the drain or contain it within the work area. The saw cuts well! It has a real nice feel to it and the wheels balance it out nicely. You can rock down into the cut and it really gives you control over the depth. Obviously you want to pay close attention to the depths of the saw if the pipes are just below the slab. It was actually quite powerful and only flipped the breaker once when I was pushing it too hard. No biggie. I had cut approximately 65-70 linear feet of cement slab so the blade may have been getting a bit dull. The saw cut through 3" of slab easily and could have done 4" slab no problem. Very, very impressed by the quality and price of this saw! I am a professional and I found it durable and reliable in the 2 days I've used it thus far. It doesn't seem like it will be giving up anytime soon. 2 minor qualms. One, one of the wheels came off during the cutting process. The wrench that comes with the saw slides into a holster under the trigger guard area so I pulled it out and used it to quickly tighten up the screw that holds the wheel in place. Two, the quick disconnection for the hose was a bit sticky. It didn't come with a rubber washer(no problem because I had one on hand) and it didn't quick connect, I had to pull and fight with it to get the connection loose. I will probably buy a new brass quick connection fitting to replace the plastic one provided. That being saw, you can't beat the price and the connection was leak free even if it was hard to disconnect (especially w/o the hose attached). Can't complain, this is a quality saw and very $70/day and I used it two days. $300 dollars is a steal. Evolution tools are good bang for the buck. I also bought a miter saw stand and a steel cutting chop saw and both feel very solid and high quality for the money spent.

Perfect product for a homeowner
I used it today to cut a 4 feet wide concrete wall way with 3/8” rebar and it does the job well. Also tried to cut a 60mm (2 and 3/8”) concrete paver— it is much easier to cut than the slab. All these are what I expected before ordering the tool. Highly recommended for a home owner for light concrete jobs! Don’t know what pro would say as I am not a pro nor a contractor. Good features: you Can connect your water hose to this machine which has a connector to run water to suppress 95+% of dust! Very desirable feature. Only R300+ model has this so make sure it is R300+ model. Two small wheels can support the tool during cutting concrete slab, reducing 90% fatigue you may have. It comes with a nice diamond blade so I don’t have to spend extra money on a blade. Lastly it is an electrical too, no gas engine. Something to mention also not so critical: the hose connector leaks as the O-ring does not fit or the connector does not have the right inner diameter. Manufacturer please fix this. It does not bother much but should not also water leak. The plastic storage recess cannot hold the wrench properly, plastic part may have been broken at factory as I didn’t break any parts. Overall, perfect for home owner whose likes to do small concrete job. All major functions work very well. Some minor things are there but won’t affect you much I give it a 5 star. If all issues are fixed I will give it 6 star.

Great Purchase, works well
Purchased this to help with a yard project. Neighbor was replacing his drivway, & I wanted the concrete for yard projects. I initially rented a walk behind saw to cut the drivway into larger slabs that were dropped off at my house. i've been using this saw to cut thenm into 2'x3' sections that will be used as replacement steps down a hill, & other retaining wall areas that don't require better looking blocks. The saw is easy to use & works well. The water cooling eliminates dust and the saw just works! i would purchase this again or recommend to anyone looking for a basic concrete cutting saw.

Gobs of Power - IF You Can Feed It…
This saw has plenty of power for cutting concrete and stone. Let the blade do the work. If you keep it straight, meaning don’t bind the blade, it’ll cut like butter and not bog down. The water system works perfectly, keeping the dust at bay. Although it’s a heavy saw, the weight is distributed well and has good balance. The enormous motor starts up slowly, gets up to speed smoothly and the electric brake acts quickly to stop the blade. I run mine on a large generator because it’s a very heavy draw and couldn’t be run on my small solar powered system. You better have a full 20 amp circuit to run it properly. It really is a capable, well-designed masonry saw, except I wish they would have included a depth stop for cutting lines to a consistent depth. Evolution has made a pretty good, reasonably priced product here and I’d recommend it.

Wow what a saw!!!
I purchased this item about a year ago. When we bought our house a few years back, we were informed that there was some minor plumbing issue 🙄. Turns out nothing was minor about it at all. The house was built in the 70’s here in South Florida and of course they used cast iron pipes. Over time the pipe leading to the main sewage drain was discovered to have a dip which continuously caused clogs or slow drainage. After contacting several contractors, we were quoted at 50k, 33k and 15k to either reline the pre-existing pipe or to re-route with PVC. I for one don’t know a lot about plumbing, but I wasn’t willing to spend so much money on a recently purchased home not knowing whether or not the problem would come back. ***Actual product review*** Long story long, I contacted my dad and purchased this saw which literally saved me thousands of dollars. Yes there may have been a couple of days of some intense labor, but we got the job done. The water gauge is very important, as it helps to cut through concrete like butter. Make sure to use all of the safety precautions available, protective lenses, gloves and a mask. Also we made a huge mess, but ultimately we got the job done. The biggest benefit due to the fact that we were working indoors is that the saw is electric, which eliminates the idea of carbonated toxins. Yet based on the performance of the saw you couldn’t tell whether it was motorized or electric. You’ll definitely need to use an electrical outlet that’s being supported by at least a 30amp circuit breaker, because this little saw packs a mean punch. As I said it’s been a year and we haven’t had not one single incident since, as we were averaging 4-5 major backups annually. If you made it this far through the review, it means you’re pretty invested. Just go ahead and added to the cart trust me it’s worth every penny.

Works very well
I have been using this saw for cutting through 2 and 3/4 inch patio block. It has done an excellent job. Has an automatic shut off if it gets overloaded but starts right back up again. Have it on a circuit with other electrical. 20 amp and it does fine if you let the saw do the work as any wet saw should. UPDATE: HAVE NOW used this saw for the full project. 1500 square feet of patio block. Hint, when planning a large patio like this, don't plan a round patio with square blocks. Had to cut a lot of block. The saw never failed. Well balanced. Easy to handle. The original blade lasted well. I changed thinking it might be dull but it was not. I was just a little impatient. I would highly recommend this saw!!!

Doesn’t reliably cut a 2in pavers.
Well frustrated is an understatement! Got my saw yesterday tried the first cut this morning and will be returning the unit. Product was packaged well and looked to be up to the task for sure. I noticed right away something seemed not right. The switch works every time but the saw would spin up and shut down on its own. As if an internal current sense was set too low. For a minute I thought there was a level switch and each time I would tilt the unit the power would shutoff. Have a hard time filling out warranty paperwork for replacement when you haven’t been able to get 3 or 4 cuts in. This product is not ready for prime time save your money for somthing else. Not to mention I purchased for $350 two days ago and today it’s only $313. I will be searching for a better replacement now.

Gets the job done
Got this to cut versa-lok block and caps and pavers. The saw had good power and had no problem cutting the concrete block and pavers. The water helps keep the dust down and helps blade longevity. You just need to let the weight of the saw do the work and not put down force on the saw as you cut the material. This was my first time using a wet saw like this and this is what I’ve learned to help make good cuts. I used an angle grinder with 4” wet/dry concrete blade to score the line. This helps to act as guide and see the line when water starts to flow as you are cutting with the wet saw. An enhancement I made to the saw was to put a pole level on handle (see pic) to help know when the blade is perpendicular to material I was cutting. I did this because I found it difficult to tell when the blade was perpendicular to the block or paver while holding the saw and standing over it and this is critical for good cut. This is especially true to have things to fit together for finished look. I’m sure if this is something I do every day I’d get a feel for it, but I needed something to help me and the level helped a lot. The pole level does have the ability to be adjusted so you can use level on blade to check the pole level is calibrated. Finally, I found that using couple blocks to hold material off the ground and give clearance for the blade to not hit the ground and prevent the material from falling when cutting caps and pavers that the 12” blade can cut through was helpful.

Amazing saw, cuts concrete like butter.
I bought this saw to cut a footing for a car hoist i am installing. I didn't want to rent because of all the hassel, and renting is almost the same price as this saw. I am absolutely amazed how well this saw performed. I cut a 4 foot square footing hole plus 2 waffle cuts. It took me about an 1hr of total cutting time. This was at full depth. So 25 feet of 4 ½ inch concrete. It didn't niss a beat, the blade is almost like new still. Saved myself huge money doing the cut myself, and i get to keep the saw. I wouldn't use this saw daily but as a backup or doing how jobs once in a while its amazing. A 20amp breaker is helpful, i didn't have any trips. 15amp may be an issue. Definitely spend the extra and get the wet saw. It hooks tona garden hose so no fancy connections needed. Highly recommend this saw.

Solid saw
I never write reviews, but after using this saw to cut a massive amount of concrete and a ton of hard granite rock I’m beyond impressed. The blade is nearing the end of its life after all the hard rock cutting but it hasn’t had a single issue, even after long uninterrupted cuts. I had rented a gas STIHL with a rock specific blade because I thought it would be faster, it wasn’t, I went back to the evolution saw. It will blow your 15amp breaker if you push it too hard, ideally use a 20 amp circuit. Make sure you have a heavy gauge extension cord as well.

A fantastic saw
This a fantastic saw. I’ve used it to cut concrete and rock and it works excellent. The water system works great keeping the dust down. It is the best value for money for any power tool that I have seen.

Good product
Good quality. Powerful and blade is good quality. Just need to go slow if you are using 15amp circuit.
