Tulip One-Step 5 Color Tie-Dye Kits Rainbow,1.62oz

This product surprised me in a very good way. First, the bottles were much bigger than I expected. I had purchased the same brand product from a local drug store which was much smaller and it was only about a dollar cheaper. Second, for a "one step" dye, these worked amazingly well. We didn't use any presoak and we didn't take any special care after dying, other than rinsing and then washing in cold water, and yet the colors held fast and were quite vibrant. Some of the kids I taught dry dyed and some soaked their shirts first - all the shirts came out quite lovely, but as expected the wet dye shirts were more pastel (but still quite pretty). Either method worked and stayed well post washing. The bottles are sturdy enough, even for little kids who were, um, overenthusiastic about squeezing them. We'll definitely be able to reuse them again, especially since there were extra dye packs included. The gloves were cheesy and sort of lame. I used some of the rubber bands to hold them onto the kids' hands, but really? They're getting tossed anyway at the end of the project, so who cares. They did their job just fine. And for those of us teachers may have forgotten our gloves, (oops....so much for setting a good example...) the dye actually does wash from hands with a little soaking and some gentle scrubbing and then a bit of baby oil. No big thing. Overall, this is a GREAT bargain and a really good product.

As a first time tie-dye-er this kit was really great. The directions were clear and easy to follow, and they even included directions for how to wash/prep the clothes for best results. There were a few pattern suggestions included as well, which was fun because I had no idea what I was doing. I love that it came with gloves and lots of rubber bands for "tying". And the extra dye packets make it totally worth it because you can save them for another time, or you have the ability to dye a larger lot of pieces. I did this with my 6 year old - she was very liberal with the dye - and we had enough dye to fully saturate 4 kid sized shirts, and we have not used the extra dye packs yet. Some things I learned for next time: * The blue is VERY dark. The bottles come with pre-measured amounts of dye already in them, so for the first time we just had what we had. But next time I think I will only use 1/2 of the blue dye packet so that I can get a lighter/brighter color out of it. * When working with kids and dye, CONTAIN EVERYTHING! The nozzle on the bottles is wide enough that as soon as you tip it the liquid starts to leak out. We had some splattering and our patterns came out a bit messy. And because we did the project in the winter, I lined my bathtub with a plastic table cloth from the dollar store to contain the mess. * Apply your colors lightest to darkest, being liberal with the lighter colors and more conservative with the darker colors. Especially the blue, which seemed to behave similar to black and just take over everything. Overall the colors are good, the directions are good, and the project was super fun. I would definitely purchase this kit again.

This is the best price for the tie-dye kit of any of the "marts" that I have been to. It is SO incredibly easy to use & the colors come out vibrant & don't wash out. I used this as a project for my daughter's birthday party & every girl's stuff turned out excellent. Love it & I will definitely use it again for future projects. One kit was enough for 11 girls to do 1 t-shirt and 1 pillow case. with some left over. However, the way the kits are designed, you get two full bottles of each color, but would have to refill and make another bottle. So, for simplicity & because of the amount of girls we had, I bought two kits so we would have the extra set of bottles out for the girls to use. However, you could just buy extra bottles, or take the time to make another bottle if necessary & still be fine.

I followed the directions overly carefully, leaving the tie-dyed shirts in bags for 12 hours before rinsing. I think they came out very nicely, but I would've liked the color to be brighter. I'm not sure if it's something I did or didn't do or the product itself. There's nothing I could have done to have followed the directions more closely. We did about a dozen shirts and each one turned out unique and individual in the design and colors. Colors didn't bleed too much, just the amount I thought they should. Children created the shirts in my pictures and not one turned out brown or messy. Each one turned out great and had an individual personality to it. My grandmother's shirt was voted the best (she's pictured in the wheelchair). I'd buy and use this product all over again. Ease of use and cleanup were so simple. See my attached pictures for what exactly comes with this order. Each color bottle is pre-filled with powder (and you just add water and shake). And then there is an additional packet of each color. I ordered more rubber bands. Depending on your design, there may not be enough in this package.

This set had a fine dust of blue dye inside, but it was easy to rinse off. Very satisfied with the effects and value of this set! Had enough dye to do my jacket and an extra white hoodie my son had lying around. Still have the spare packets of dye left for future use! I had a silver polyester jacket that I really like, but it was stained around the cuffs and pockets. Obviously it won’t hold color as well as natural fiber, but I washed the jacket (left it damp), laid it on plastic egg cartons inside a big Rubbermaid container and applied the dye in big blotches, trying to keep colors that blend well next to each other (so don’t put red+green or yellow+purple, because that’ll make brown). Lid on container and left for 24 hrs before a hot wash. Came out looking like water colors, hid the stains and looks great!

Estupendas, hemos hecho muchas camisetas, da para dos tandas, en la primera habremos hecho unas 12 camisetas y podríamos más, muy bien.

Super Farben. Geht ganz einfach. Ich könnte T-Shirts für meinen Mann und unsere 2 Kinder machen und es ist immer noch Farbe übrig. Wenn man die Flaschen bevor sie leer sind nochmal mit Wasser auffüllt hat man noch mehr davon aber natürlich sind die Farben dann etwas heller. Was ich aber auch sehr gut fand. Ich werd mir auf jeden Fall noch andere Farben bestellen.

Super activité avec les enfants, bonne qualité, ne part pas au lavage. J'ai fait 3 t shirt et une paire de chaussette

Carinissimo!l’ho usato per due pomeriggi con i miei nipoti(5bambini) quindi in totale riempendo le magliette di colore ne sono venute circa 10! Il set presenta i flaconi con dentro la polverina colorante ed un ulteriore kit di ricambio!le magliette vanno fatte asciugare una notte intera e poi ben sciacquate a mano...per ora reggono molto bene i lavaggi in lavatrice!soddisfattissima!

Love useing this great fun. Scrunch up a damp T shirt, put bands on, sprinkle with dye place in a plastic bag for 24 hrs and you have a pretty T shirt. Good quality dye and vibrant. Washes well and does not fade ( 30 degree wash) especially the turquoise and yellow. 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️
