Melted below 300°C
I intended to use this to cover a ceramic fibre insulating blanket for the top of my Aga, but though "Fire resistant" it melted above the boiling plate lid. The material might be fine for fire resistant furniture, but didn't work for me. I should be more careful about material specifications!

Do not endanger your life or others
This Fire-Retardant Fabric is highly flammable. You can see in the photo. If the Fire-Retardant Fabric seller sent catches fire, it will burn until it is extinguished, but the linen fabric. will extinguish after two seconds.
