This comprehensive curriculum overview is perfect for creating homework packets, timeout packets, sick packets, small group work, etc. if I’m teaching fourth grade I make sure to have the third, fourth and fifth grade books so that I can provide work for many different grade levels. There are books for all grade levels.I use these as supplementation to my districts approved curriculum. Any background knowledge or necessary instructions are included on the page with some sort of cute comic book character to generate student interest. Carson Dellosa hit it out of the park with these. I have been using them my entire teaching career! This is a win!

This is a superb series! The American Education Publishing Company has several series like this particular book, but they are not the same. The series with the animated chalkboard is far superior to the books that have the animated animal characters on the front cover. The annimated chalkboard book covers a variety of content areas that the annimated animal cover book does not. It is truly comprehensive. These books are available for grades 1-6. They contain subject areas such as reading, mathematics, english, environmental science, grammar, spelling, writing, and study skills. Whereas the annimated animal copies only have the basics: Reading, english, math, reading comprehension, and writing. So as you can see, the annimated chalkboard cover series is better geared toward meeting many more content specific skills. They are very difficult to find. When ordering them be very specific. Though the vendor pictures the annimated chalkboard series, they may very well send you the annimated animal series instead. I found my first copy of the series at the Friends of the Library book store for $1.00 and the second copy at either Sam's Club or Walmart for around $9.99. It is my go-to book for introductory materials, guided practice, overhead work, theme lessons, thematic units, independent seatwork, etc. You name it it's in these books. I had the full series, but a careless office store worker who was to spiral the book for me chopped it in half and damages the majority of the book. To replace the book costs around $30, but it's indispensable.

Many typos! Basically almost everything that starts with an f. My kid actually gets a kick out of finding the mistakes, so we arent mad lol. Not a bad book otherwise. Super easy for my 4th grader, but hes above average. (yes im bragging but its also true!) We use it for homeschool on days when we dont have time for our usual curriculum, because its quicker to do a page in each subject and be done for the day.

We love these books for content! But this copy has a typo that occurs throughout the entire book - my son didn't mention it at first so I missed any return/replacement window but every time the "fi" combo appears in the book it's an "ā" instead - so the word 'first' for example is 'ārst' - someone should've caught that before it was distributed. It's a large workbook so it happens many times

Nice Product

I'm using this as one of the books in my self-made homeschooling curriculum for my son, along with Scholastic and BrainQuest. He had some math and English gaps after moving to the US from a different country. Namely, he hadn't learned multiplication yet. I find this book very thorough and good practice for the skills I am teaching. It requires more writing than the other two workbooks, which is good for improving composition. It's colorful and more engaging than the mainstream public school curriculum we began with. Some of the assignments are more project-like than the practice workbook I expected. These may be helpful for our homeschooling purposes. Science or Social Studies are incorporated into half of the Reading Comprehension section. I have only a few complaints: - They use "not sentence" instead of "fragment". - They use "statement, question, command, and exclamation" instead of "declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory". Overall, I recommend it.
