Chill Factor Color Changing Drink Bottle - Pink to Purple

What a unique idea for a water bottle. A water bottle that changes color while the temperature of the drink changes from freezing to warm. I thought it would be great to take to work and have the kids see especially the older ones who love doing science type projects. I was amped to see what it looked like when it arrived.Packaging: There was not much to the packaging which is great because of less waste. To my surprise for some reason I thought this was going to be a sturdier hard plastic water bottle only to find that it’s actually squishy. The hanging logo/banner is nicely designed and looks like a reputable company. The instructions are to be found inside the water bottle and clearly state how to use and clean this water bottle. Inside the bottle is the cooling pack that will be used to keep your drink nice and cool for hot days.To clean: Remove all bits and pieces from one another and it states clearly in the instructions that (the lid, top collar, and washer) are all top-rack dishwasher safe the rest wash by hand. I ended up cleaning mine all by hand.Instructions: Once cleaned place the cooling pack in the freezer upright for about 4-6 hours making sure the temp is -10°C/14°F otherwise leave it overnight it does not freeze completely. While not in use keep the cooling pack in the freezer upright to ensure that it will last longer.Appearance: Well it’s definitely a lot larger than I expected. The base of the bottle is made from some sort of silicone pliable material. From the pictures I expected it to have more structure. The top of the water bottle is very large, bulky and unappealing when it comes to water bottles. I think they could improve on that to match the uniqueness of the bottom part. Feels like just extra chunky plastic on top. Comes with 2 styles of drinking options such as drinking from a spit spout or straw spout.Weight: The weight of the bottle is quite a bit from the bulkiness of the design but of course of the cooling pack which is to be expected. So when adding liquid it does become slightly heavier.Use: I left my cooling pack in the freezer overnight just to make sure that it was completely frozen for the next day. Keep in mind you can’t fit as much as you would like because the pack does take up quite some room in the bottle. There is a fill line so just keep an eye out so when you put the lid on you don’t over spill. Instantly you can see the pink changing to purple. Throughout the hot day it lasted great. I even refilled several times over the course of the day. Your hand will get cold from holding it over time, but it works as advertised in keeping your drink cold.Price: It being a one of a kind and a novelty item it’s a great price.Overall I think it could make some minor changes that would make this bottle more appealing. Maybe slimming down the design of the top and making it look less like a canister or thermos. The colors are vibrant and exciting. I think this would make a great gift for mostly anyone and especially kids, since it’s soft it would last longer and they would love it!I received this item at a discounted price for my honest review. This is a very cute bottle that works. The size of the bottle is pretty big, larger than most of my travel sized bottles, but still a good size to fit into my bag. The drinking spout works nicely, and was easy enough to use. The color changing worked very well. The bottle is pink, until the cold liquid goes into it, and then it begins to change to a purple color, changing back again as the liquid slowly warms up. The bottle does not necessarily help to keep the drink super cold, but the color change helps you get an idea of how cold it still is before you drink it, which is good. It was pretty easy to fill this up, and it also washes nicely once you take it apart. I received this drink bottle at a discounted price in exchange for writing an honest and fair review.
