ROCKY Men's Low Country Waterproof Snake Boots

First, I was excited to get these snake boots as I live in an area where venomous snakes are abundant. And zippered boots are convenient. I soaped the zippers upon receipt and every month thereafter. 3 months in (I got them March '24) the left zipper started coming apart down low. Was I happy. No. But I could still use them. And now today, July 20, 2024, the toe on the right boot separated from the sole. Now I've got to try and glue it back. The waterproof on it is say is shot. And these boots haven't been submerged in anything (ponds here have those slithery things in them and I don't walk into them in these boots-they we're not made for that). Needless to say I guess cost for unit versus quality and longevity of the product, now have fallen in line. 6 months and I now have this. Oh, and of course I'm outside my return window. I live on a 40 acre patch farming and raising cattle. They have worn well some wise. And no, they haven't been worn everyday. At first I loved them so much I got the wife a pair, just like mine, to use when she is in the field picking wild berries and checking cattle because I don't want her snake not either. To say I am disappointed after only 6 months of use is on the low end, the high end is off the chart pissed off. I'd like another pair of boots ( good luck with that thought)...... OR......... UPDATE!!! You'll want to HEAR THIS!! After thinking on this and what happened, I contacted the company, Rocky Boots, directly. I learned there is a Limited Warranty on these boots, well past the time they can be returned thru Amazon. The process was very easy and straightforward. First I had to fill out their form and submit photos of where the boots failed along with my proof of purchase thru Amazon. I also explained that the return date had passed for returning the boots thru Amazon. This was all also able to be conveniently done online via email. The company is very good, and prompt on reviewing the matter and staying in contact. Once done, they contacted me about the matter. I received a RMA number (return merchandise authorization) along with a postage paid mailing label thru Fed-X. All I had to do was box them up and drop the box off for return. Today is 11-12-24. I just received a BRAND NEW pair of their boots, replacing the first pair. I know we all live in a society nowadays where it seems like companies don't care about their products much less service after the sale or heaven forbid, making something right. This company DOES. I am, needless to say, shocked, and very happily surprised. I will recommend this company to absolutely EVERYONE I KNOW on this planet! Buy their boots. You won't be disappointed. I'm certainly not! THANK YOU ROCKY BOOTS! You've went a long way in restoring my faith in businesses!!

Nice boot for the price. Although I usually wear a size 11.5 wide, I ordered this pair in size 13 wide. I'm glad I did. They just do fit. You might want to take that into consideration when you order a pair. Other than that, they are a great pair of boots for wet weather and knowing that they are also snake proof (having already sustained one Copperhead strike and a few close calls with rattlers) is a big plus where I live.

Good quality. Lightweight comfortable. Keeps me in the woods from turkey season thru early archery season. Good camo pattern.

I did go up a size based on other reviews and the fit is great! They are water resistant, I have walked through lots of water in them and my feet stayed dry. Very durable so far and comfortable. I have worn them hunting and hurricane clean up. My negative is the zipper. It gets stuck every time. When I zip them up or trying to take them off. There is too much fabric on the inside so it constantly gets caught. I should have sent them back when I tried them on and tried another pair to see if they had the same issue. Still a great boot though.

My 1st pair of these boots, had the zipper that most poor reviews are complaining about. A lite weight "herringbone type" interlace of the zipper, and yes... The inner liner would get caught in the zipper! But as luck would have it, this pair ran small on the left foot, so a replacement pair was issued. That's when I found that there are 2 styles of zippers. The new pair had a much heavier duty style zipper, and the inner flap does not get caught up in this style of zipper... A much improved zipper! These boots fit well, super lite, waterproof (Gore-Tex membrane), and the mud or dirt will hose right off due to the ScotchGuard type coating already applied to them. They also have a very open tread pattern, that with 1-2 stomps the dirt falls out. I recommend these to anyone needing a lite weight, "snake-proof", water proof boot, providing.... You get the ones with the heavy duty zipper!

The first pair I bought ran small, so I ordered a new pair and let me son keep the smaller pair. This new pair comes in and I've worn them for a few weeks now and all was fine. Good fit, only issue was it's difficult to slide your ankle/foot into the bottom part of the boot.Most boots have the same issue but this boot actually bent. The hard plastic material where your foot and ankle slide into the boot bent making wearing them impossible now. The bent portion of the boot stabs you when you put on the boot and when you walk around in them it causes excruciating pain. $100 plus thrown away from just putting them on. I had a pair of Muck Boots that did the same thing, but I ran those over with my F250.

Well made snake boots. I have used them often. You have to be careful when zipping them up to NOT catch the material liner underneath, in the zipper. Still worth 5 Stars.

awesome customer service from the seller 100AuthenticPro - there was a manufacturing defect that occurred on one of the boots and the seller helped navigate the warranty process to remedy these otherwise good and effective boots. I can confidently walk through tall grass and have some level of security from snakes, briars, and stickers.

As good as I expected. Yet to be tested 😅 but they feel fine and give you the enough confidence to step into the unknown.
