Holbein Artists' Gouache - Permanent White, 60 ml tube

My friend who went to art school recommended this gouache to me, I started out with the smaller gouaches with just the primary colors, black, white and completely fell in love with them. When I ran out of those I tried other gouaches and none of them compared to this brand here, the quality is unmatched at a decent price. I love them so much I bought three whites and three of every primary color. The colors are just so vibrant and beautiful. You also don't need a lot of paint with these too, I just do a tiny dollop of each color when I paint and it's usually enough to do most of my painting.

I was highlighting a white vase with my cheap gouache and it looked duller and dirty. I got out the Holbein and was shocked at how pure and white it was. This was a really great deal and a lesson learned about quality of supplies.

Every artist should have this.

Holbein is one of the best qualities of gouache that I have found. I got this bigger tube of white because I use it a lot. Amazon has a good price on it.

Fantastic quality, good body and mixes really well with all of my watercolor paint.works wonderfully out if the tube and . easily picks up after drying, very water soluble, adds so much to my work. The price of this gouache cannot be beat. I’m grateful for this find.

I use this gouache to as a paint by itself as well as mixed with other gouaches for tints. As a mixing paint, it provides good cohesion and an added opacity. On its own it is a bright bluish white, and fairly matte in appearance. Overall high quality.

Price went from $11 to $18 for 60ml This is a great gouache that I use for mixing colors. The price jump was way too much!! This was the gouache I instantly bought MULTIPLE times, but I’ll stick to the Himi gouache that’s $11 for more than 3 times the amount (200ml). This is not worth $18 for 60 ml, considering how much I go through.

This is the best gouache paint I have found.

What can I say? Everyone goes through their white paint like nobody’s business. Having a massive tube is just wonderful. Never worry about running out midway through a large piece. Everyone deserves a massive tube of white gouache!

The paint came broken and destroyed, the tube was out of its packaging and the tube it self has been destroyed where there is are multiple leaks at the end of the tube as seen in the photo. About 1/3 of the the paint is no Longer usable. Please give me a refund or send it again

Of the different brands of white gouache I've tried so far, this is the most opaque and smoothest texture. It doesn't crack much when dry and is quicker to rewet than other gouache I've tried so far. I would like to try other colours by this brand and can see buying this again when I need more.
