Review: Good book - Best book for designers Review: Go for it! - Amazing book, has a lot of practical knowledge about even the simplest products which WE DON'T EVEN THINK OF. It makes us understand our surroundings even more, and sometimes in a comical yet informative way. A must buy for aspiring designers like myself. Loved it, can't wait to finish it completely. And I am happy to get a good product; good packaging, nice quality, no issues. Because I saw many reviews regarding its quality.

Worth to read.
The book is specifically curated for the Product Designers and UX Designers. Although I am a Communication & Visual Designer, this book still gave me a ton of knowledge I expected from it. The book is of course a pirated copy not an original/authorised copy so I struggled alot to understand the images. Texts were readable, book cover was poor and somepages were poorly binded.

Best Written Book, But with a Catch 🤦🏻
I will review the book in two aspects Aspect 1 - Written 5 Star The book is well written very thoughtful. Author have written this book with a clear understanding of the people who will read this. Aspect 2 - Image/ Graphics Minus 5 Star (- 5 Stars) The Images presented in this book are not able to do any justice to this book. Would I recommend this book. If you just want to read - Yes Do you want to read and understand - Look somewhere else. Look at the pictures for reference.

Great read.
This is by far the best design-psychology book I've read. It is a great read for anyone who is a product designer, architect, UX designer, computer programmer, electronics and communications engineer, psychologists and people are really curious about everyday objects. The older edition of this book (over 25 years ago) was called "The psychology of everyday things", and this is a revised edition - the examples are more suited to today's world as the internet and technology have greatly changed the way we live. I found it really interesting. I am always the person who tells people to read manuals if they can't understand how a device works. After reading this book, I stopped doing that- it is not people's fault if they have to struggle to figure out things. It is the designer's responsibility. This book also delves deeply into the workings of the human brain and how it has evolved and how memory and assumptions work and don't work. [I bought a paperback version of this book - the images and diagrams are all in black and white and font is okay, but the page quality is quite good, so is the binding.]

Easy to understand yet detailed
I am a UX designer and this book covers many aspects of design, filled with information on every page. It is a bit long and tough. Otherwise, this book has many important lessons and principles that I use in my everyday design. One of the best books I have ever read.

Book is good. Got problem with packaging.
Book is good. Useful for UX Designers and psychology students. Just some damage in backside of the book while delivering. Nothing else. Overall good book. Go for it.

Well written on a very important topic
This book is a breath of fresh air in a world surrounded by poorly designed objects. I cannot recommend this book enough to anyone involved in the design process, or in the use of designed objects (hint: this book is useful for anyone).

Light Read, Dated, but Still Applicable.
The authors of HCI, Human Computer Interface, Dix, Finlay, Abowd and Beale, recommend this book in their early chapters. The recommend was taken to heart and the book was purchased. It's a small pocket book sized tome and may be considered pertinent, but light reading. It begins humorously, but within the first two chapters, the message of the work begins to get hammered in. It'll be a new concept some, - information in the world as compared to information in the head. There's a lot of basic HMI/HCI/Human Factors type stuff as related to user interface failures and successes. It's a sort of philosophical approach to interface design ideology in layman's language with examples and analogues. Pack this book into the brief case, the back pack or whatever, and read it while at the beach, on the bus or between more detailed knowledge seeking excursions. Take a break and absorb some reflection on pertinent interface design philosophy and then jump back into the tough stuff. Yes, it's light reading. But it's valuable light reading. The message and import are worth the journey.
