Super sturdy
Fits perfectly on a 2017 Forester using the supplied directions. The mounting system is pretty secure - 2 bike model. Bikes will fit below the roofline so you can carry kayaks on the roof, too. The integrated bike lock is a nice touch. The rack is quite sturdy. Edit: took 2 bikes on a 500 mile round trip. Bikes mounted very stable, no issues with the spoiler when properly set up. No issue driving on back roads or on interstate highways at 70 mph.

Great investment. Quality gear. Easy asembly.
Excellent piece of equipment! No issues placing on my hatchbag solo. Light weight and compactable. Already drove 500 miles with the rack and two bikes without issues, worry or raddling. This rack is secure and strong. Best investment if you like adventure on the road.

A Very Good Bike Rack
This is a very good bike rack. It was given 4 stars instead of 5 due to a couple of drawbacks that were minor to me. For reference, I have the 2 bike version and I installed it on a 2013 Toyota Venza crossover vehicle. It carried one menโs and one woman's bike, and the woman's bike had an inexpensive crossbar installed which was necessary in my case. Once properly installed, it was all very sturdy with little swaying. This rack is quite sturdy and does not require assembly. I found the installation quite easy, partly because I have used trunk mounted racks before and they all go on in a similar way. Once the rack is adjusted for a vehicle it does not have to be readjusted, so the extra time spent in the initial installation (setting strap length, learning where to set the hooks) is not repeated. The four mounting straps only need to be slipped on and tightened properly. It is important to not have the rack rest on the bumper once loaded with bikes in order to avoid denting the bumper. This is accomplished by tightening the upper straps. The minor drawbacks were the rackโs weight and the built in bike lock system. The rack weighs a bit over 20 pounds, a tad weighty but as it seems quite sturdy that appears to be a tradeoff. The built in lock however is annoying as the cable length is quite short-I could only secure the bike located on the outside that is near the lock, with some maneuvering. If you are carrying only one bike, as it must be placed on the inside slot nearest the vehicle the built in cable will not reach, so either use your own cable and lock then looped into the built in system, or buy their extended length cable lock. There are some other nice features. The rack can be secured to the trunk with a strap to help prevent theft, and the bars holding the bikes can be folded down and out of the way when not in use. The inclination of the rack is easily and securely adjusted with a click lock system in order to fit different vehicles, similarly for the bike mounting bars. There is also a system for tucking away the extra strap length. Overall this is a very good bike rack which I am happy with.

Great rack with good security features.
The only other rack I used before this was a rental from a lbs, a Hollywood Rack F1B The Original 3-Bike Trunk Mount Rack which is probably one of the cheapest racks you can get. I was really disappointed with that rack cause it scratched my bike, didn't hold it securely and really didn't look well made. This rack on the other hand is quite beefy and looks really well made, the straps that hold the bike in place are easy to use and very secure. Setting it up took about 10 minutes to get the fit right and the straps to the correct length but now I can put it on or take it off in a minute or two. What I like about this rack are the security features, it comes with a Yakima Trunk Mount Security Strap which is steel reinforced so I don't mind leaving the rack on my car knowing that I have that. It also comes with a lock for the outer bike that you pull out, wrap it around the top tube and it lock on to a metal pin that sticks out which you need a key to unlock it from. This rack is a little more expensive than average racks but I think its well worth the money.

Easy to put on!!!!!
Right now i give it 5 stars. It was so easy to put on my car. Everything was assembled. It took 10-15 to make sure i got the straps at the right length. It is a little on the heavy side but i think that works in itโs favor. It did not bounce around without a bike on it. True test will be on Friday. I tried 2 other bike racks and they were horrible! This one is a keeper so far. Still love it!!!!!

Great, easy bike-rack!
One of the sturdiest, easiest bike rack I've ever had. Almost needed no instructions to set up on the back of the car, it was so intuitive. Took it on a road trip and never had to worry about stability. Love that I didn't need a special adapter for my women's frame.. It is a little on the heavy side, 35 pounds, but that is the least of my worries. Very happt with it

Nice Rack with locking feature.
Nice rack for bikes. Like the lock feature on it. Works as well as Thule Raceway Pro without the extra weight and half the price. Although the Thule is more study, this works great. I had a defect on mine product, doesn't affect function something a little QA would have caught. Cracked plastic on top crossbar. Didn't see the point in sending it back just for that plus, Yakima offers a lifetime warranty for products ( Can't beat that). Holds 2 Road bikes without issues. Very easy to mount to car ( CX5). Attaching pictures of crack.

Very good quality rack.
It arrived like it was opened before and not handled well before shipping. The rack itself is excellent for a small hatchback. Bikes when strapped properly is very stable and held in place quite well so you can be confident about your cargo even when driving through rough roads. Just make sure you follow the instructions and straps are nice and tight. it also did not scratch the paint on my car and light enough for one person to install.

Needed adjustment
We have two bikes, and one of them is a "comfort" bike. It is bulkier than a typical bike, and we couldn't get it on the rack with my husband's bke. We had to slide the mounts back (there was lots of room). But this meant drilling new holes. We suggest there be another set of holes for this reason. We bought the bar to add to my bike, but it isn't stable, will be sending it back. Other than that, the mount is fine, and we are happy with it.

You need another piece if your frame is slanted!
I had no idea I needed a special piece not included for the frame of my bike. This resulted in us having to return the item because we weren't able to use it for our vacation. Needless to say, the bikes stayed home. Now we will wait until next year before shopping again. At least I know if I decide to go with the same product.
