Escape from Tibet: A True Story

Great book. Recommended by a friend. Must read.

A story that deserves a better writer. This could have been a terrific book about how Tibetan people have been invaded by the Chinese and how their lives have systematically been destroyed. The book barely touches on the issue of the Chinese invasion and their illegal treatment of a defenseless population. The escape over the Himalayas is remarkable, but lacks detail, and you are left with the impression that this book is merely an outline for a publisher. Too slim, and an opportunity missed. KG
