Is this adapter bidirectional? / Can I use it with my host’s HDMI output and my monitor’s USB-C input?

No. This adapter is a unidirectional USB-C to HDMI adapter. It only converts video from USB-C with DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3/4/5 ports (host) to HDMI displays. It does not support HDMI sources like the PS5 or Xbox to USB-C devices.

How can I achieve 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, or 4K@240Hz with this adapter?

Actual output depends on the host USB-C/Thunderbolt port, GPU, drivers, HDMI 2.1 display, and certified HDMI 2.1 cable. Some TVs may require firmware updates or Enhanced/High-Refresh HDMI mode.

Why is there no video output, flickering, or no signal?

Confirm the USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode, USB4, or Thunderbolt. Use a certified HDMI 2.1 cable, select the correct HDMI input, enable Enhanced/High-Refresh mode if needed, update GPU drivers, and lower the resolution/refresh rate.

Why do I get only 4K@120Hz with Intel GPUs and Acer monitors?

This is a known compatibility limitation with Intel GPU and Acer monitor setup when using this product. With AMD or NVIDIA GPUs, the same monitor can reach 4K@144Hz or higher.
