We bought a 10x12 shed for our backyard earlier this year. I plan on storing electronics (inventory) for my business in it so I wanted to keep it as cool as possible during the summer months. My favorite feature is the memory function. When the fan is unplugged and then plugged back in, it "remembers" the speed setting. I combined this with a smart outlet and an Amazon Echo device with a temperature sensor and created an Alexa routine so when the shed temp exceeds 85° F, the outlet is powered on and the fan resumes the same speed it was before being powered off. When the temp drops to below 85°, the fan power is cut off and the fan stops. I had to reframe the vent hole, but it works awesome and is SUPER QUIET. I could have spent more for the thermostatically controlled unit, but I already had a spare Echo and smart plugs laying around so I opted for the less expensive unit. I'd buy one again in a heartbeat should I ever need another exhaust fan.

Fantastic product, reasonable noise for the volume of air it moves. Wish I had purchased one with air flow in the other direction

I bought these to replace conventional 1800 RPM exhaust fans. I run them at half speed and they are very quiet. I disassembled the unit, mounting the motor, fan, and cage into the existing wall-mounted louvers. The fan cage bolted into the same fasteners as the old fan, so installation was a breeze. I did not use the louvers, but they looked to be good quality. I like the fact that the speed control remembers what speed is programmed if power is removed. I have the fan controlled by a wall switch, and treat the speed control as set-and-forget.

I had to take the black air fins off and use a set from 40 year old exhaust fan because these things stay half way open when the fan turns off. Fan works well otherwise after one month of use.
