Giraffe Tools Retractable Garden Hose Reel Wall Mounted

So easy to fix to the wall. When the water is on there is no leaks, so easy to move side to side and the pulling out the hose takes a little bit of pulling but not that hard. I found that the last bit to pull then release it then stops it from trying to pull in the hose pipe. When you have finished pull the hose pipe & it then starts to wind in the pipe. No hassle in it pulling in the pipe but don't let it go because I find it really pulls it in very fast. It's great that there is a stopper on the hose pipe before the gun and that can be altered which is great if you want the end of your hose pipe to be longer or shorter once it's reeled it back in. Not cheap but so far I'm please with the cost of this product because it's easy to use and it works very well. So much better than any of my old hand wind in hose reels which used to get stuck, pipe get twisted, handle broke on one when i was winding in the pipe and some even leaked before it had put water in the pipe. These should of been out many years ago. I would recommend this to anybody who is looking for a hosepipe reel & wants an easy life.

I have had this on my wall for about 1 year now its never let me down I use it to water my plants on the front garden and back garden If you haven't got a SDS drill it will take some time to drill it to the wall as the screws ankers it comes with are quite big but it needs this so its very sturdy when dragging the reel out very happy with my purchase it is expensive but you get what you pay for definitely would recommend

Getting older, and definitely a bit creaky, I needed a hose that would behave itself and be easy to pull out and, more importantly, rewind, with little effort. I read loads of opinions on a variety of retractable hose reel and decided that this one was a reputable brand, so would go for it. Not sure about the assembling comment, I had a man who did all the necessary to affix it to the wall, so no issues there. I would point out that this hose ( and perhaps all retractable hoses?) is not so easy to pull out, and requires a bit of strength. I thought I could just wander easily to the front garden from the back …..alas, no. However, I have now worked out that if I pull it out to the required length, ( hint, mark hose with coloured tape! ) right beside the box rather than with the spray end where I want to water, then I can work it very well. Same for retracting, go to beside the box and feed it in gently. It is still a lot easier than my previous hose, on a wheel, and I am reasonably happy with it, though I do t think the hose itself is not of a brilliant quality, I noticed one “ kink” already, so am keeping fingers crossed. It was an expensive item, so really hope it lasts.

Bought this 2 years ago and have been delighted with it and how easy it is to use and to install. It connects very easily to tap and is easy to disconnect. The retract spring is enough to respool the hose gently and after it winds back with the retractable mechanism it is tidy and compact against the wall. This is a fabulous addition to my garden and kennels. I can now without any effort pull the hose down to my kennels at end of the garden and water the flowers on the way down! It saves so much time and effort lifting and carrying buckets of water up and down which I had been doing up to this purchase so I really appreciate this hose. I had a slight issue with it after buying but customer service was brilliant and rectified the issue without any fuss. This counts for a lot and is always something I look for in a company. Would and have recommended to people and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again as it is reasonably priced for the quality of the hose.

Wonderful after sales support. The product came with a 2 year warranty, after a year of good service the product developed a fault, I contacted their support, via Amazon, within a week they had provided a brand new replacement product, with no cost to me. Wonderful, well done.

I purchased it on 10th June 2024. This review I'm writing on 27th June 2026. After starting to use it, it worked like a charm for first year, but to be honest I used it maybe 10 times till the end of 2026. In 2025, due to being absent home for most of the year, I used it maybe twice, if at all, honestly I do not remember to use it at all. This year just a month ago when I used it, it stopped working at second time. It doesn't wind back the hose. When I look inside through the hole for the hose, I can see on the left side, that some part is peeled off as if divided to two parts. On the left side, the plastic, small timing belt is bent and looks very loose. For me personally, it is unacceptable that device can be used just dozen times and got broken. Its built is completely inadequate to purpose. This Giraffe Reel is made from very weak parts and it does not serve what it was designed for. I paid 84.99£ for having hose unreeled and reeled less that twenty times which gives more than 4.2£ per use... Absolutely waste of money. One star is way too much

Brilliant just what I needed. Love it thank you

Easy to install, the actual retractable hose reel seems quite sturdy but the spray gun is cheap. The lever broke on the first use. Luckily I still have my hozelock gun. Note - The hose attachments aren’t waterstop. Retractable reel seems good, attachments are a waste of time.

Très bien

Doesn’t spring back or lock. Installed it 3 weeks ago, must have been used 10-12 times and first it stopped locking after the 6-7th time it doesn’t spring back.

(30m Schlauch gekauft)

Used silicone washers to prevent leaks.
