I Catfish the Potomac and James River. I've taken 40 lbs. + trophy catfish with this reel. Been fishing with Abu Garcia for over 35 years I highly recommend this reel for big game fish.

Fantastic fishing reel. I used it on holiday in Barbados to go sport fishing for Barracuda, Tuna, Mahi Mahi (Dorado) and Kingfish. The reel was able to deal with even the strongest of fish with ease. The reel is robust and can operate perfectly even when salt starts to build up within it. The listed line capacity of this reel seems to be inaccurate as I currently have 210 metres of 45lbs 0.60mm monofilament line from Fladen on my reel. This reel can definitely hold more line than the manufacturer says it can. Overall, this reel is perfect for offshore fishing. It can hold strong enough line and has a strong enough drag to deal with almost any size of fish, with the exception of larger billfish. The seller, Toolville, was also fantastic to deal with.
