I have a u-haul 2" reciver, and the pin hole is approx. 2 1/2 " from the end- will the pion holes line up??

I need Suggestions on how to stop from swiveling

I was able to modify the bottom by marking the edge of the tab on the atv and weld two beads down each side of the bottom of the hitch. This created a lip that prevented the hitch from swiveling by catching the edge of the atv mounting tab.

Is the mounting bolt removable?

Yes. It is a heavy duty bolt with nut and lock washer that comes with the unit. However, if you want to mount it onto something else that would be possible, there is a large hole at the end of the hitch for the provided bolt but you could put anything through that hole. There are two other bolts on the bottom, by the way - they secure the anti swivel plate on the bottom. After installing the hitch move the plate firmly against the mounting poiint and tighten those two smaller bolts and it prevents the hitch from swiveling on the mounting bolt when you you back up. This is a nice product that works very nicely. I have it mounted on the drawbar on the back of my small diesel tractor and use it to tow trailers and carts around my property. That loop above the hitch is handy to hook a chain or rope onto when pulling on something, also.

Perfect for my ATV

I have a Honda Rancher ATV that has a slight design flaw. If I was to install a ball hitch on it, the ball would be almost under the plastics on the ATV making it very dificult/awkward to put a trailer on it. This adapter turned out to be a perfect answer for that. First of all, the price was perfect. This little problem could have potentially cost me up to $75. Secondly, it's well made and will last as long as my quad. Third would be the two inch receiver. It's the same as my Jeep making it a quick swap back and forth. Four thing, the loop on the top is a great bonus. It doesn't look like it would add much as far as length, but you must consider the length of the ball hitch adapter which is about 9 inches. Put together you add roughly 10" in length so it's not as difficult to put on the trailer. I would buy this again if I needed it and would highly recommend it. Great purchase!

Safety first . Don’t buy a cheap knockoff because it’s dangerous .

Don’t “save” $10 buying a cheaper one , this Curt is the real deal . They might look the same but they aren’t . This is a serious piece of kit that will last my lifetime and pull more than the specs say it will . If you’ve never seen one fail under pressure , save yourself the trouble and possible injuries by buying the Curt . Cheap knockoffs are made of cheap metal . Also , the anti twist plate prevents serious side to side movement . Unless you weld the adaptor on you will ALWAYS have some play with these ,it’s expected , but the plate makes a big difference . Also it comes with the hardware , which is also built within the tolerances needed to withstand REAL needs . Aside from pulling other atvs and myself out of sticky wickets , this thing needs to yank trees out of the ground , pull heavy machinery around etc , and I trust it will . The powder coating is very nice too ! We will see how it holds up .
