Question 1

I use the arm & hammer litter box deodorizer mixed with world's best cat litter. would this smell like that/essentially be the same?

Accepted Answer

This is the best litter I've found for decades for my three cats and I've tried EVERY KIND! Finally my house doesn't smell like a giant litter box and my cats aren't tracking litter on the bed, couch, floors, you name it! I love this product and would absolutely recommend it!

Question 2

My vet said to avoid clumping clay litter. Does this clumping litter cause intestinal blockages when cats lick their paws?

Accepted Answer

My cat tends to get this stuck on her back paws when she is in the box. She drinks a lot of water as she is elderly and has kidney trouble. All of a sudden she stopped having BM. Eventually gave her MiraLAX and after a few days things got moving again. I believe it was an issue with the litter. The clumping litter. You can see when you empty it how hard it gets when it clumps. Though I love the lack of dust etc. I am afraid this can be dangerous for cats.

Question 3

Is this product biodegradable? This manufacturer doesn't state that.

Accepted Answer

The Safety Data Sheet states Persistence, Degradability, and Bioaccumulative Potential is "Not Established." Under Disposal Considerations it states "Avoid release to the environment.".
I would not consider it biodegradable until it is proven and established by the manufacturer.
The Safety Data Sheet clearly states "Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local, regional, national, territorial, provincial, and international regulations."

Question 4

Is this an unscented litter?

Accepted Answer

I wish it were unscented. The fragrance was VERY strong, even for me, so I can imagine how the cats and their sensitive noses were affected. I have two cats and two litter boxes. The litter box with this litter in it was avoided for days until it had aired out quite a bit. When I refilled the box with more fresh (strong scented) litter from the bag, the cats avoided it again.
