Sterilite 4 Shelf Cabinet, Lockable Utility Storage, Gray

I've had one of these before. Couldn't take it when I moved, but worked great so I bought another one. Use it in the kitchen as a pantry. I'll probably buy decorative shelf paper to dress it up a little on the outside like before. Shelves will bow a little with heavier weights, but I just don't store excessively heavy stuff anywhere but in the bottom. I'm female, 65 yo and put it together in less than a half hour. Everything snaps together so you don't need tools. Really appreciate that. Everything is marked and instructions were easy to follow. Just make sure all your rounded corners are matched with rounded corners and right angles with right angles. And ensure each piece is snapped into the adjoining one. If you have difficulty getting pieces to snap in all the way, I used a hammer wrapped in a towel and gentle taps. For the top piece I laid the cabinet down. Could've used step ladder, too. Had a few weird pieces of plastic sticking out here and there that I suspect were left over from the manufacturing process so I cut them off. First one I had didn't have them. I'd say quality had dropped a wee bit from the one ten or so years ago, but still more than adequate for the price point. I prefer the plastic to metal because I can't stand the sound of metal clanking. Easy to clean and won't rust. Weighs about 40 pounds, delivered at front door of building and I just put box on the side and slid it on the floor to my apartment. I wouldn't recommend for storing tools or cans of paint, but for lighter weight objects, it's fine. When I store food cans, I put them on the sides and put lighter stuff in the middle of the shelf to prevent excessive sagging. Only thing I can say is I wish it came with another shelf. Might figure out a way to make one out of card and foam board. I'd rate it a solid 4-5 so I went with 5. Oh, and it's dark gray, not black and had no odor.

Very easy to assemble. Sturdy. Spacious. Perfect for what I needed it for. Garage storage for all my Blackstone grilling items and picnic items, etc. Absolutely satisfied.

First, the unit arrived with a couple of missing pieces. Sterilite customer service was stellar in getting the missing parts in the mail quickly. Assembly is straightforward, with very good instructions. There are no nuts/bolts or other metal hardware with the unit; everything snaps into place. That said, using a rubber mallet or hammer with a small piece of wood cuts time and effort by about 50%. I suppose that a couple of people could put this thing up in the advertised 15 minutes, but allow 30 minutes for assembly. Either way, the unit does go together quickly. Being over 6’ tall, I was able to wrestle the upper panels in place fairly easily in a vertical configuration. Someone that’s shorter would probably want to assemble this horizontally with the base against a wall or solid surface. The only caveat there is the a couple of shelves should be installed before Step 9 (door/top install) for support. Anyway, the unit functions very well for light storage. Heavy items are best stored on the floor. The door handles do have a hole for a lock, but that would provide nominal security, as the short hinge pins on the doors can be easily popped open with a bar or large screwdriver. The shelf is good for a patio or deck, and ideal for a screened in porch. The biggest weakness that I can see as to durability would be UV degradation (especially color) under constant full sun exposure. All in, I was impressed enough with the shelf unit at its price point to order a second one.

I originally found these on Shein for $32. I was so excited and ordered 3, but then the order was cancelled. Either they sold out quickly at that price or someone messed up. I was happy to have found them here on Amazon, but disappointed to see how much they were. But it was exactly what I was looking for, so I bought two of these for my outdoor patio for my gardening supplies and tools. It was easy to put together by myself. I recommend doing it in place as it could be awkward to move it to another location. In one of them I only added one shelf to the very bottom for stability and inserted a garden tool organizer for shovels, rakes,etc. The other one holds smaller items like flower pots, potting soil, seeds, etc. I live in Florida so I will have to update after hurricane season next year to see how they hold up. I took off a star because they are not totally sealed, so I'm not sure if rain can get inside yet, but I'm pretty sure it will. I ordered a cover to go over it that I'll put some velcro down the sides to flip up the flap when I'm using it and then keep it closed when I'm not to keep it from getting wet inside. This is probably not meant to be used outside, but it was my cheapest option for a garden shed without having to pour a slab and permanently attaching it. 🤞🤞that this was a good idea. LOL! Overall though, it's a sturdy product, but I think the price is too high for a plastic item. I think around $70-80 would be a better price point.

Nice sturdy plastic cabinet, assembly was simple — maybe 20 minutes, no tools needed — and the finished product feels really solid. No wobbling, no flimsy shelves. The adjustable shelves make it super practical. I’ve got everything from cleaning sprays to laundry detergent in there and it all fits perfectly. Looks clean, holds up well, and keeps my garage from looking like a disaster zone. Would 100% buy again.

A great cabinet for our outdoor needs, gardening pots and decor for storing after the season. Perfect size and easy to literally snap together. Instructions were clear and detailed; parts clearly labeled and designed to only fit the correct way… so easy.

If you hate the assembly of a traditional dresser, this product is for you! Very simple to set up for a short time! Instruction says 10-15 minutes, but it took me half an hour, which is still good rather than few hours! It's sturdy and holds lots of clothes! While the appearance is not appealing since it's designated for utility use it cleared my head a lot. And my landlord is okay with it to help control the clutter.

It's great to store anything making it verse and setting it up was easy except for the two parts where you can put a lock on the storage doors. Well, I was given two M's, instead of L AND M, it is closing but the locking part is not functional because they are misaligned due to being the wrong part. Its light seems sturdy, manufacturers need to make sure that the correct parts are in the box. As seen in the picture both handles suppose to be facing down but one is facing up due to being wrong handle .

I wanted something outside my back door where I have an extension overhang from my 3 season sunroom. It didn't need to be waterproof but I wanted it to be plastic. This fits the bill. I am able to put things in for my BBQ, and miscellaneous items that I need to keep dry. It looks good & closes securely. At the time of purchase it was the most reasonably priced storage cabinet. Can't believe there aren't more similar items available. Lots of overpriced cabinets out there. I may look at getting another if still priced the same. It is a little smaller than the pics, as all dimensions are outside to outside. It is extrusion plastic so the walls are fairly thick. Still, definitely a worthwhile purchase. It does go together real nice. Glad I got it. Oh. And delivery by Amazon was quick as usual.

There are not a lot of options these days for a plastic cabinet. This cabinet assembles in under 15 minutes (1 person), no tools needed. A rubber mallet can be helpful if you don't want to use your hands to tap on the parts to snap them together, but not necessary. Moisture and rot resistant, can be used outdoors or in an apartment locker where it can be quite humid.
