I love these pastry brushes. I am a baker, and everyone knows a baker's best friend is a good quality pastry brush. I've never owned a silicone brush before. Yes I am a reformed pastry brush snob! I recently purchased a very expensive natural boar bristle pastry brush, it was my last. It worked well the first time. But the the third use I was disposing of my baked goods because I was find hairs all in them. (NOT GOOD) Then I stumbled upon these little beauties. I love them, love them LOVE THEM! Yes, I was very skeptical of the price, (not use to finding such great deals like this) however, I was totally wrong. I've sent these little bad boys through my dishwasher several times. (yeah no more hand washing!!!) they are perfect! I love how they work, I love how easy they are to clean, and I know they are clean. Oh and if you do hand wash, they are way easier to clean than a natural bristle brush. I also love the colors. I am buying another set to have on hand just cause! Trust me, you will love these! I won't go as far as to say that these pastry brushes will change your life....BUT YOU NEVER KNOW!!! :) (remember folks it's the little things in life, and these little dandy's are one of the little joys in life) If you have a kitchen or know someone who does, BUY THESE!!! I am probably going to get a bunch as stocking stuffers for Christmas.

Bear in mind, I've only used the brush once. But, it preformed well. I've had a variety of brushes in the past and always felt there must be something better than this. I bought these Silicone brushes by AdeptChef because my old brush was leaving bristles on the food. A total fail. I don't see that happening with these new brushes. It was easy to clean, I don't see them deforming like my old brush. Example I would store it in in a vase on the counter top with other utensils Bristles pointing in every direction like my hair on a bad day. Silicone will hold up to the heat of a dishwasher. I can amend this review after more use, but as of now think I will be very happy with these brushes.

We are always looking for a basting brush. It seems we can never find one in our drawers. After years of using the nylon bristle type we have thrown them out because the bristle were falling out when be basted. These four brushes are colorful, so we won't have any trouble finding them in our drawers. They work well, but seem to hold less sauce than our old nylon brushes. Since they are silicone, clean up is a breeze. Sauce washes off of them easily. I am also not a big fan of the clear acrylic handles. With oily sauces the handles become slippery. Wood handles, or gripped handles do not have this issue.

As I was think8ng about my Thanksgiving menu, I realized jcoukd no5 find mympastry brush. I needed to brush a nice citrus, herb butter on the turkey. I perused Amazon and found these four. Really good deal. Four basters and pastry brushes all different colors. I brought one with me to my daughters where the turkey meal was taking place. We used one to brush the top of the apple pie, and one for the turkey. The brushes are made of silicone and come apart for easy washing. They are much easier to use than the old brushes. The butter glides on easily and the brush spreads very well. Quite happy with these brushes. Recommended. prisrob 11-23-17

The price is great and the quality, thus far, is too. I like having different colours so I can dedicate the brushes to either butter/fats or BBQ sauces, egg wash, etc. Not that it probably matters except that most brushes will pick up odors from the foods they are used with. I don't know if this material will do that but why worry? The 'bristles' allow for a very smooth flow of the baste and also hold quite a lot of the liquid in them so you don't have to dip as much as with regular basting brushes. I like that they are very soft and that they require very little pressure to get a proper coating of whatever you're using them for. I used one for a butter-cornstarch-egg wash on some very tender rolls and the dough was not disturbed in the least.

Love these so much! I had a regular wooden pastry brush that was a nightmare to clean and always felt gross to use. These are absolutely amazing and are used daily whether to spread oil on chicken or veggies or to put honey butter on my morning pastries! These are wonderful to use and you can even remove the head to clean better. So easy to throw in the dishwasher or just to rinse with dish soap in the sink! I have a feeling these will be durable for a very long time :)

I've begun a number of baking and cooking recipes which require brushes, and I needed more than one. This set is beautiful! I love the colours, to begin with, but I am surprised and impressed with the hefty handles. The 'bristles' are flexible and soft so they spread liquid nicely and generously and where you want it to go. They clean up easily with water and detergent, and, unlike hair/fiber brushes, don't become sticky with oily residue from basting. Very pleased! :)
