I recently bought a PC that I wanted to upgrade with a new PSU and GPU, but the PSU had 20+4 pin connector and the CPU wouldn't power on. I bought this adapter and everything basically started working immediately!

I also tested it on an EVGA 500w Bronze unit and it worked fine.
Works for HP Z230 Tower workstation. I was able to swap out the stock HP 400w psu for a Thermaltake 650w unit to power an AMD R9 290 gpu. I also tested it on an EVGA 500w Bronze unit and it worked fine.

Did not work with my HP Z210.... but Eyeboot are total professionals!!
The people at Eyeboot are total professionals!! This adapter is VERY well made. I bought this last November and it worked for 4 months in my HP Z210, then gave out. I believe it was NOT the cables fault, but the fact that I tried to put too many add on cards in the Z210 and it could not take it. Eyeboot refunded my purchase price with no hassle and were very kind. No love for HP proprietary power supplies from me!!

24 pin side has 4 missing wires and 18 pin side has 4 wires missing as well. Won't work on HP Z420.
