All-Natural Plant-Based Pet Odor Eliminator – Pure, Powerful, and Completely Safe – 1 Gallon

This is a food-grade enzyme that destroys odors rather than masking them. I bought this as a refill, having used up the portion of Pure Ayre that my mom gave me a couple of years ago. My poor kitty had a UTI that I discovered when she began relieving herself all over the house earlier this summer. After I received this shipment, I saturated the affected areas of carpet using a spray bottle. For a day or two, the urine smell was more prevalent, but I believe that is because I had moistened it. Now that the product has done its job and dried, there is a huge improvement in the odor! I may need to apply a second treatement after I go around doing a sniff test at each location. And I did not have to worry about safety for my children or pets because this is not a harmful chemical. An important thing to note is that you will save yourself a lot of guesswork by locating your problem spots with a black light before you apply this product. I got this idea because my mom had included such a light when she gave me my first bottle of Pure Ayre. If you a wondering, my kitty has been to the vet, has completed her antibiotic regimen, and has been given a clean bill of health. Hopefully I won't need to use more of this for removing urine odors any time soon. Perhaps it's time to go after my son's shoes...

I appreciate that this product focuses on neutralizing odors rather than masking them with fragrance. It doesn’t add a “clean smell,” which is exactly what I want. In a home with a service dog, floors and high-traffic areas can sometimes develop lingering odors. This helps address that without harsh chemicals or overpowering scents. It’s been effective, easy to use, and works well as part of regular cleaning.

NEW it has a very slight smell so you know its working. I bought the gallon size and after talking to someone from the company. It will develop a stronger smell as it ages. Refrigerate to make it last longer than the 6 month shelve life if opened. If closed it can last way longer. years. The smells will still go away. But not recommended to put into the air as it does have a smell that lingers for a bit.

This is the best stuff ever. I've been using PureAyre for probably 15 years (before they were featured on Shark Tank -- they were known in animal rescue communities as being a safe product to use around pocket pets for their often times interesting odors (ie: sugar glider musk scent)). I've been out of the pocket pet rescue "business" for a while now, but I still use PureAyre for so many things. Baby/toddler smells... cat urine -- oh my gosh, cat urine! It actually GETS RID OF cat urine smell. Even the smelliest cat urine stench from "marking". You do need to use it CONSISTENCY for a while though to fully get rid of the cat urine smell. PureAyre also removed an awful set in sweat stench from boxing gloves. My husband and I do kickboxing about five times a week. Our gloves started smelling something awful. After about one to two weeks of consistency spraying our gloves after each work out, the scent went away. Now we spray inside our gloves after each workout to prevent any odor, and after about three years, our gloves are odor free! The same process goes for getting rid of cat urine smell. You have to be consistent in the use of the product for one-two weeks to fully break down the odor causing bacteria. Then it's gone for good! WE LOVE PUREAYRE! I tell everyone who kickboxes or has a problem cat about PureAyre.

I saw this product on Shark Tank and bought my first pack directly from the company, along with equipment that would allow me to spray down the whole house. The equipment was defective and leaked the liquid everywhere, but the company sent a replacement immediately. No problem since. I loved my first experience with the actual product and recently began buying them in 1-gallon sizes on Amazon. Unfortunately, my first shipment came with the product already leaking into the box. I had to return it and waited for my replacement. Strangely, the replacement never came. The shipment was said to have been delivered, but the box, which contained another order-item, missed the PurAyre entirely. I reported the missing item to Amazon, tried to find out what happened, and have had no luck. I will order it again. The product itself is usually very effective. As it instructs, it needs time to break down the source creating the smell. As such, you have to leave it soaking on the spot affected and can't simply wipe it up immediately. With odors (like mildew, cat/dog urine) in cloth, this product is amazing when combined with detergent and the washer-dryer. I have never had to wash clothing, towels, bedsheets, couch covers more than once. With hard surfaces, this product needs multiple application. It is very easy to run low on this. Also, this product is truly natural and safe, which is very important if you have children, dogs, or cats in the house. On Shark Tank, the inventor sprayed the liquid into his mouth to demonstrate that it can even help with bad breath. The smell of the liquid, when sprayed, is a strange minty smell that isn't pleasing, but it disappears. Unless I somehow find an even more effective and equally natural product, I will always have one of these ready in the house.
