I remodeled my inlaw unit with a small kitchen, limited space. I sunk it in to the granite counter top and wired it in to a designated circuit. It fired right up and gets red hot on high setting with in seconds. The burners have discolored a bit but I guess that’s just from use, it cleans up well. It has a lock touch tab on it so a child can’t turn it on by accident. I was very happy to find this unit.

This is a beautiful, sleek cooktop that we installed in a second kitchen. The top is solid with no places for dirt to collect. The touch controls work flawlessly giving precise control of heat. Has a timer function and also a locking function to prevent accidental operation. I had a small problem with the unit and the people at Kitchen and Home were extremely responsive in resolving it. I wired it up to a 30 amp 240 volt dedicated circuit and set it into a cutout in the counter. It also has rubber feet so you could just set it on the counter top. In that case you would probably want to install a plug and socket.

Not for someone who is not familiar with wiring electric devices. Because of not being American made, the manufacturer could not include a plug head for U.S. configured 220 volt outlet. Having said that, this unit almost immediately gets to cooking temps as soon as you activate a burner. This is not a hotplate, it is high wattage cooking. We find it suits our needs just fine. We took out a 11 year old bulky stove and this takes up very little room in our kitchen. That being said, the space between the burners, once you have pots on them is minimal; some would find it difficult to have both burners in use at the same time. Although we have read comments about cookware, this unit accommodates a variety of materials.This is a good product, but not for every situation.

Just had an electrician hook it up. He recognized the wiring, bought a connector and wall receptacle, and a 20 amp breaker. Took him about 1/2 hour. I was going to have a hole cut in the counter, but the counter top was a rock based (a couple of hours of work to cut through and a hell of a mess), so I just had it placed on top on it's rubber feet. Tested it with no pans. It heated up quickly and I like that it has not knobs, just a flat surface allowing easy pan/pot movement and removal. Really happy with the build and design. Will update after a couple months of use.

It took us a lot of researching but we're glad we chose this product. It heats super fast, its very easy to operate. There are others here in Amazon that look exactly the same [at a cheaper price] but no, this one is definitely the best choice
