Installation was fairly simple, but figuring out how to connect it to Amazon Echo/Alexa was tough. Apparently the Echo Dot 4 is not the same thing as an Echo 4, despite looking the same in photos and having a similar name. You need an Echo 4, a "Bond Smart bridge," or some other ZigBee device to connect it to Alexa. I went with the Echo 4 (not the Dot) for simplicity. Additionally, the USB cable that comes with it was fragile, I hope they ship a better one that doesn't snap at the ends so easily. Regardless, now that it's connected to Alexa I can fully automate it to open at sunrise, close at night, and I never have to think about it. It is slow and loud, but since it's so far away from everything (being 15 ft up) else I never notice it. Also, the Alexa commands to control it are odd. "Open blinds" doesn't work, "close blinds" doesn't work either. You have to give a percentage. Additive percentages make no sense. Thankfully, you can say "set blinds to x%" which is perfect for automation, but silly to say out loud. Yoolax could have done a bit more work hear to make these commands convenient. Oh well. It's cheaper than Lutron. Also, the solar panel was nice. Saved us from having to call an electrician and add an outlet 15 feet off the ground.

Superb customer service. I purchaes a Bluetooth hub and asked to return it because it required a hardwire network connection. I was willing to pay the return shipping cost. The Yoolax Customer Agent, Javy, replied promptly and took care of it all, covering the return cost and credit to my credit card.

I recently ordered shades and blinds from Yoolax, Good experience! The material of each sample is able to feel the different fabrics and see how they would look in different lighting, which really helped me make the right choice for my space. The Yoolax service team guided me through the selection process, providing advice and answering all my questions with patience and professionalism. I highly recommend ordering samples if you’re on the fence about which shades or blinds to get and I’m so happy with my final choice!

Haven’t tried with Alexa yet - instructions for programming were not well written. Took a couple of us to piece things together (docked one star) but both blinds were well packed and work well so far. I plan to get a couple of more when I get the cash.
