Life changing! No more $$$$ facials this is the key!
I asked one of my friends who has beautiful skin what products she uses, and she said she didn't use products; instead, she used the money towards getting a facial with a lactic acid peel once a month. After that, it was whatever drugstore wash and moisturizing sunscreen and a hat. These facials can cost around $200 where I live. I tried salon facials and added on the lactic acid option. The results were terrific, but having facials monthly was out of my budget. Then I discovered Skin Obsession. It is so inexpensive for what you receive. This is salon strength. I started with the lactic acid and made my way up to 85%. Then, I read up on glycolic acid and switched back and forth between the two. Whenever I get dry patches or my skin looks dull, I realize I forgot to do a peel. I cannot wait to use this new combo. Now I can get all the acids. My skin is tough. I don't burn much or get red. It is not a peel like a laser peel. I never get skin peeling from this, and nor did I after peels at the salon. Glycolic and lactic acid are like a "lunchtime peel." I instantly get glowing skin that holds hydration better and gets rid of hyperpigmentation and those annoying black dots on my nose. The instructions say to use a cotton pad. A cotton pad absorbs too much of the liquid and is a waste, in my opinion. I purchased a wand brush, which is the kind they use in facials. I pour a little into a mise en place bowl and dip my brush into it. This keeps the product from getting tainted, and it stretches the product so my bottle lasts a long time. Other than that, I follow the instructions. When my skin doesn't seem to respond to my products, I do a peel, and instantly, my skin absorbs and reacts to other facial products better. I have been using Skin Obsession since the 2000s. I no longer get facials, pimples, or extractions. If you have sensitive skin, this might burn more, but I have thick skin and can do it even while using Retin A at night. That is a lot of exfoliation! Despite that, for me the peel doesn't burn much, get red, or shed large patches of skin. I wash my face with a washcloth, so maybe I don't notice the peeling because it is in the washcloth. Skin Obsession is amazing, even life-changing for me. I would say this is a must-have product for me. I have 20 years of using Skin Obsessions' lactic and glycolic peels, and my skin looks fantastic, and not just "for my age." Read up on the products and pick what is best for you, then progress upward. Wear sunscreen and a hat or visor. Do not forget your neck and collarbone area when using. PS: The company is woman-owned.

Definitely out of the Ordinary...
Do not play around with this. This is not some lifestyle brand's version of an acid peel. This is actual acid and it will make you peel or worse if you treat it like you saw some influencer online using it. Follow the directions and have your neutralizer of choice (something basic...as in the other end of the pH scale of acidic) ready to go. The comments here from the careless and uninformed about it burning? Take those at face value, and don't be dumb and end up with their face. There are 1,000 other products on here that claim to be peels that you can slather on, not pay attention, rinse off an hour later and be just fine. If that is you, this is your last warning before you find out. That said, yes, this actually works. And it works very well.

Very Surprised & Satisfied
Ok so I'm an Esthetician and this was my first chemical peel ever. I am mixed and I have SUPER oily skin. I am 25 years old. My skin is so oily that it can saturate two Oil Absorbing Sheets no problem at the middle of the day and at the end. There were reports of people having their skin flake off and stuff. The only places I had skin flake off were on the driest parts of my face. The corners of the chin, upper lip, and the bridge of the nose. That's it! I will probably avoid these areas tonight when I do the peel again. Also, as far as the pain goes with this peel, I was able to withstand the whole time limit and even surpass the time. Maybe I just have a higher tolerance for pain than others. After a couple of days my skin was so much smoother and it made me want to run my hand over it a lot. That's how smooth it was. I could tell also that my skin was brighter. I have very acneic skin. I have had skin problems since I was 13. I have a problem with the tiny comedones (small bumps) everywhere on my face but especially on the outer cheeks and forehead. This was kind of emotional because for the longest time I haven't been happy with my skin. But I believe if I continue to use this peel that I can have normal looking skin. After using the peel I could tell that my skin maintained the radiance that my skin normally has and I think the radiance actually increased after using the peel. Today is day 8 after using the peel. I have some new breakouts of small bumps on my forehead but nothing drastic. My skin is in better condition now. I do have small red scars on my cheeks for past bad breakouts. I also have some hyperpigmentation from acne as well. These scars are looking better and I have only done one peel! Just imagine how my skin will look say after 10 peels or so! When I was just a teenager I used Tazorac cream, Retin-A, took Tetracycline orally, used Differin gel, Proactiv.. none of it really worked. This works for me. I used to wash my face with a face wash called Sal Ac. I think they disconitinued it or something. Anyways, now that I'm older my skin has mellowed out a little but when I break out it's not pretty so I am so happy that I found this. Long Live Beauty & Health, Whitney

Awesome Product!
I was shopping around for a light, less scary, chemical peel than the professional ones. This was exactly what I needed! I was sill nervous when it arrived and did my first treatment but I am VERY pleased with the results. The 2 little bottles re all you need (plus household baking soda) and that is literally IT. Not cream, no after care regimen, nothing. It is light enough to not do a huge nighttime lotion repair regimen that some offer, yet, it is strong enough to really peel the first thin layers of skin. I was not laid up in bed for days, jut dry patches that flaked off. I did start using thin cotton rounds instead of cotton balls though. The cotton balls seemed to absorb more than putting the product on my face. It is a tad painful... ouch. But within 10 minutes I was completely fine, NO after effects. Rinsing hurt worse than applying - just to give you a heads up. I believe the instructions say first step 3 minutes 2nd step 5, and I always do 1st step 2 minutes 2nd step 2 minutes. Maybe I'll progress but that's all that I can handle for right now. I personally recommend NOT moisturizing for a couple days. My second peel took forever because I kept moisturizing and it ended up being 4 or 5 days of peeling... ugh. I am on peel 4 and I want to do maybe 8. I have pale skin with black heads in problem areas and a few pinkish red scars from past bad pimple. The first peel took the pinkish red scars right off! I was so happy. After a week or so I could see them again but VERY light and no where near as bright and big as they were. My make-up went on smoother after my first peel, and I started getting less black heads! Follow the directions, do what it comfortable, and you should get great results!
