This is my second review for these filters. I could vent outside but instead I vent inside as I need to raise the indoor humidity level due to using an outdoor wood furnace and few trips through the door. I also use humidifiers in the winter. I usually get three or four drying cycles before the filter is filled sufficiently to cause the pop-up vent to lift putting fibers in the air. I use the wand on my vacuum to remove and clean the filters once coated. I can vacuum multiple times before they are weakened by use. The filters are pulled apart by sweeper suction when they have been sufficiently used.. Very effective and highly recommended filter.
