Good solder is so expensive these days, and this is good solder at a reasonable price. Excellent for wires and electronic projects.

This is my new "go to" for solder ,flows nice still use flux though, always use flux and clean/sand(a Dremel with a grinding wheel works ) for instance soldering battery terminals lately Dremel just a scuff the surface drop flux right away get your iron hot (I have a 260w iron)and start soldering always clean your surfaces to whatever your soldering to ,whether it's a chemical or light sanding get flux on it right away and solder

I haven't used it yet. I did take a iron out and made sure it melted at the right temperature. Nice brite color. The reason I did that, was I was surprised when I received the roll and saw it was made in China. I really thought it was made in the USA. Honestly, I would not of bought it if I knew. I guess I'll see how it works. If decent wil re buy, if it is the typical Chinese 63/37, I won't.

I originally bought this solder when it was only around six or seven dollars because the price of pre-made solder slugs had gone up so much that they had basically priced me out of the market. Those individual slugs can now cost anywhere from about a dollar to $1.70 apiece, which adds up quickly when you’re making a lot of battery cables. I figured out that I could put a little flux inside the battery lug, cut this solder into roughly quarter-inch pieces, pack enough of those pieces into the lug, and then melt them down with a torch. It does the exact same job as the expensive pre-made solder slugs at a fraction of the cost. I’ve also used this for regular wiring connections, and it works great for that too. Whether I’m soldering smaller electrical connections or making heavy battery cables, this solder has worked well for me. Definitely a five-star product and a much more economical option than buying individual solder slugs.

bought this to solder a electric guitar, not sure about it's durability or quality. but it seems easy to work with and leaves a good looking shiny puddle flows thick, heats up quick, with a 60W soldering iron so work fast, not sure on the solder compatibility with electric guitars. some use the standard size 60-40 solder1.00mm at 3% flux), and this is 63-37 1.5mm and 2%flux the melting point is 361F. and i decided to use this instead, and hope i didn't make a bad decision.

Solders connection cleanly and because its not lead free flows perfectly.

In today's market you can find the soldering gun but many stores don't carry either the tips for them or solder for a reasonable price. I work on model trains and go thru the solder quickly so getting the solder at a good price is well worth buying online and I can get several types from the same company in one order.
