Metal beats plastic for drill gauges
Excellent product. I have been using plastic gauges, but sometimes a slightly larger drill bit can "force" its way into a hole. This is not possible with the metal gauges, which makes it perfect for insuring that you have the correct size drill bit.

They look good enough and the price makes them very acceptable
Not ultra precision looking, but good price. Not sure how precise the hole sizes are, but between the holes and the printed diameter on the gauge plates, they've been very useful figuring out fractional, number and letter drills without markings (some just unmarked and some galled where the marking is located). I inherited some extra long drill bits from my father-in-law, who was a much loved guy - we enjoyed working in the shop together. It's nice to be able to be able to organize and use these tools of his :).
