63 Easy-To-Crochet Pattern Stitches: Combine to Make an Heirloom Afghan (Leisure Arts)

I thought this booklet was "63" easy to crochet patterns. It's 63 different stitches. At first I was a little disappointed in myself for not reading the title correctly, but then I realized all 63 stitches are for 63 different granny squares, which are put together to form this amazing afghan. It's so beautiful! When I make the square of a particular stitch, I'm planning on making 5 squares, in the same stitch. This way I can block them out overnight and make 5 new squares in a different stitch. By the time I've done all 63 stitches, I'll have enough squares (blocked and ready to go) to sew up 5 of these large afghans, one for each of my kids. I can't wait to start this! The finished product looks absolutely beautiful AND I'm learning new stitches to use in future blankets! I LOVE this booklet / pattern!

A very unique book. 63 granny squares with a pattern of where each one goes to make a very impressive looking afghan.

Great book .. so far I made 4 of the squares . The instructions were easy to follow . some of the square are truly beautiful and each have the stitch multiples, so one can make more than squares if desired... I'm giving it a four because some of the pictures are grainy and hard to see .Also pictures and instructions for related squares are not on the same page. Annoying having to flip back and forth if you want a visual reference.

It could be a great book, but the photos are small and the color of the yarn used makes it very difficult to see clearly what the stitches look like. The written directions are very well written and illustrated and easy to follow. It would have been 5 stars with better quality photos

A lovely book for the price. Ive crocheted for some years but must admit, some of the patterns have me baffled (and Ive ended up googling for further instructions) so Im not sure its for a beginner but its a great source for mastering some new stitches and they do seem to start with the basics and get harder as you go on so worth a go if a novice fancies learning. Id got a stack of 25gm balls that were gifted to me and didn't know what to do with them, each square uses around one of them so its absolutely perfect. Im about halfway though and still not bored , which is good for me lol x

Ich habe mir auf Empfehlung einer Freundin dieses Buch zugelegt und bin wirklich nur begeistert über diese schönen Muster. Da ich als Linkshänder oft Schwierigkeiten mit deutschen Häkelschriften habe, bin ich wirklich froh über die geschriebene Form der englischsprachigen Häkelbücher. Allerdings kein Buch für einfaches Schulenglisch, man sollte schon ein wenig Erfahrung mit englischen Anleitungen haben. Da bei den einzelnen Mustern auch immer die Angabe gemacht wird, wie viele Maschen für den Mustersatz benötigt werden, kann man diese Muster auch sehr leicht für andere Projekte benutzen. Es werden sowohl die uk, als auch die us Häkelbezeichnungen angegeben, so dass es egal ist, ob mn bereits mit englischen oder amerikanischen Anleitungen gearbeitet hat.

I am a keen crocheter and this book is great because it gives me a large selection of stitches all in one place so I can choose what I want to customise the items I am making. The book will be useful and I am very glad I found it. I recommend this book as the patterns are explained very well and are very easy to follow.

Es una especie de revista, solo trae el trabajo de la portada, está en inglés, trae fotos de cada trabajo pero no tiene gráficos, si no se sabe descifrar la jerga del punto hay que fiarse de las fotos, son trabajos sencillos pero hay que saber hacerlos.26pag. contando portadas.
