XW Auto-Retractable Safety Utility Knife, Box Cutter of Quick Blade Change, 4 Spare Blades Storage in Handle

I've been using this chassis for 9 months now in a retail store that goes through a lot of boxes. It sees daily use, and the mechanism is still very springy. The apparatus for revealing and changing the blade still opens up despite me sitting on it every day. I also drop it on hard floors (concrete) every other day and it still works great. It is one of the most durable pieces of equipment I own. Certainly money well-spent.

The amount of boxes that get delivered to my house can be overwhelming sometimes. I have to break them down, cut them up and make them manageable. Having been severely cut by a utility knife in my younger years, I really prefer one that auto-retracts when you release it for safety. I had an old one that just got over used over many years and needed replacing. It seemed near impossible to find one in a box store that you can hold and feel before you buy. I found ONE but it was made of plastic and it was squeeze style and was just ok... I looked all over on the internet for an thumb push style auto-retractable utility knife, and bought a few different kinds. This one is the cream of the crop, though. Great price, great action and great feel in your hand. It is a thumb slide that when you release your thumb the blade automatically retracts back into the housing for safety. It has some weight to it, indicative of a quality made product. It is sturdy, feels well made and is comfortable. I absolutely will not hesitate to order another one.

Quick blade change works fantastic, meets our safety requirements and the quality is good. Having to make the change to a self-retracting knife my employees were skeptical and did not like the idea. They all had their own personal knives but surprisingly just after a few days of use it is now the go to knife, and they are all cool with it and how easy it does the job thanks.

It works well. However, the screw in the middle of the handle fell out since I started using it and I have no idea where it went.

Love the curved handle. I've got arthritis and this cutter fits great in my hand. Bought it for work as I did a lot of box break down and most cutters would slip out of my hand. The auto retract on the blade is good, no more accidently putting cutters in back pocket with blade out. Saves my pants and ass when I sit.

...and nicer to your wallet too! This boxcutter has been going strong after months of daily use. Changing the blade is easy. It feels right in my hand: not too heavy, not too light, and with good contour. It has easily paid for itself with durability and dependability. The extra compartment holding five blades is a time-saver. The automatic blade retraction is a requirement where I work, and the retraction springs function fine after a thousand hours of use. Unlike other box cutters that caused pain in my wrist after cutting cardboard, this one doesn't. My wrist feels fine after an eight-hour shift.

Me gusto mucho el estilo tradicional de la navaja, pero con un mecanismo de seguridad que retrae la navaja al soltarlo.
