9 month review
I have had this subwoofer now for about 9 months so I have a pretty good take on it. itโs the 2 ohm one. RMS is 400 Watts at 2 Ohm and I have an Alpine monoblock that is 400 rms at 2 ohm. I am an old school basehead and an audiophile but I just had a child so I needed to downsize from my JL 12w3 that had blown. I bought a G35X sport. All I needed to do was put a new surround on the 12w3 but its box a lot of space. I purchased this Kicker 10 because the trunk of my G35 was much smaller than my Camry. I had the Bose system but my friend completely removed it and re-wire everything including all the speaker wire. I was in the store after he told me it was done and heard a car stereo slamming. I didnโt think it was but it was my car. I thought I was going to regret buying a 10โ with a 10โ passive radiator instead of the 12โ due to box size and my new small trunk. I have to say I was shocked and astonished how accurate and how loud the this 10โ inch is and it saved room. This sub is just great. It rounded out my stereo perfectly. Probably due to the same rms ratings. This 10โ slams if you want it to and is very clear and precise on more intricate music. I probably would like my JL in there but holy hell this Kicker 10โ does not disappoint. Itโs very loud and accurate. I definitely recommend this speaker.

Installed into 2017 super crew cab F-150
The wife was right. We didn't need this much bass. This sub was paired to a Rockford Fosgate Prime 1 500 watt RMS amp. This sub has WAY more bass than the previous model 40TCWRT102. The sealed box with the reflex woofer provides less pressure to allow for more excursion of the powered speaker. This provides for more vibrations from the bass without being so blown out as a ported sub box would be. This thing is way stronger than I originally anticipated. Thankfully my amp does have a remote adjustment knob so that when I switch from 'classic hip-hop' to other genres of music, I can turn down the thump. The Rockford Fosgate/Kicker setup I installed was much stronger than I thought. Installed into 2017 super crew cab F-150. This will fit behind the driver side rear seat. It will allow the seat to fold up 75%. I installed this on a 2x4 to compensate for the rear seat mounting bolts and I removed a section of the rear panel carpeting behind the seat to create a more professional installed look.

Great sound in a small package
I hooked it up to a Alpine 450x1 amp that puts out 400w at 2ohms. This speaker slams. Sounds great with country, rock, or rap. A lot more bass than I expected. Update: A year later the sub is blown and the reflex sub has cracks in the surround.

Great option to round out a modest setup.
First of all, Ill warn you, I'm a bass Junkie. My 2 12 Inch MTX Audio Terminators blew, and I was looking for a replacement. I purchased this subwoofer, in an attempt to save cargo space, and be a little modest for a change. These subwoofers are very compact, but I would say that are probably meant for a pickup cab, rather than the trunk. I have amplified door speakers @ 75 watts each, and this subwoofer is barely audible over them. They need 500 watts of clean power to do so, though. Make sure you have a quality amplifier to drive this sub. In my opinion, the subwoofer sounds great, but was probably intended for someone with Door speakers powered by their head unit. I could also see them rounding out a 50w full range setup nicely. Anything louder than that however, and I would step up to the 12" model, and if you really love Loud, Chest Punching bass, I would avoid these all together, and go with some more efficient suns from kicker.

Itโs does the job
This subwoofer is neither amazing nor terrible. Itโs a 10/10 set up for when you start out tho. Def recommend for first timers. And buy them brand new not refurbished. It wonโt be as good sounding

Kicker keeps on kickinโ
I am already familiar with Kicker and Passive Radiators from years back. I needed more room in the back of my Jeep and when I ran across this setup and it brought back a lot of fun memories. This package did not disappoint me AT ALL. Legendary Kicker sound in a small package.
