How would you describe the color of these bulbs? for example, bright white, soft white, more of a yellow/natural light?

They're somewhere between a bright white bulb and a daylight bulb. It's a pretty "clean" white color without any other hues.

Does the grow light emit UV?

Yes, nothing like the real sun, but will easily suffice for a lack of “sunlight” in a room for plants. I have air plants completely away from any sighted windows, and they chill about 2 feet away from the bulb. Both are thriving, that said they are nowhere near getting too much light

The bulbs are great, but they flicker. Any suggestions?

I have mine in a regular table lamp w/shade. is it doing any good at all since the bulb is not facing down toward my plants?

Hi Tammy, I have one in the living room in a floor lamp. I do see a difference. I would consider if the plant is slow or fast growing. Also the amount of light it requires. Mine are doing rather well. My main plants are in my kitchen. I have one of those grow lights that you can attach to anything. It has the long "movable neck" and the light is long and you can move it any which way but loose. lol That one I have to watch how close it is to my plants it could burn them. It has a timer and you can adjust the light for blue, red or a combination of both. I bought that one at amazon also for 11.00 . Best 11.00 I have ever spent.
