CansonArtist Series Canva-Paper, Roll, 36inx5yd (136lb/290g) - Artist Paper for Adults and Students - Oil Paint, Acrylic Paint, Mixed Media

Purchased this product to use for practice oil/acrylic painting for myself and my students. Overall it's much cheaper than buying the 9"x12" pads. The roll can be cut into any size you wish. The only drawback is that it's really awkward trying to unroll it and cut out a portion of it because it's very tightly rolled. You have to unroll a portion of it, weight down the edges in order to cut a section off. I cut mine into 9"x12" pieces. Once I've cut the 9x12, I have to flatten it down by inserting it into a large, heavy book for a day or so. Outside of that, it's great canvas material.

Paper was difficult to flatten at first but we were able to use masking tape and students painted with washable tempura. The paper is strong and pretty thick. It took the paint well. We laminated and It will become the background for a class bulletin board.

Used this to create a 4ftx6ft acryllic painting. Held color very well, thick and sturdy, cuts nicely too. My only complaint is that it tore a lot easier than I thought it would, with even masking tape or paper tape which I was using to hang it (since I don't have an easel capable of containing something that large) I would lose a layer of ply when I peeled it. Due to it's stiffness a small actual tear at the bottom can easily chase up higher like a run in pantyhose because of the stiffness of the canvas texture. That being said, if you know these things ahead of time it's easy to work around. I suggest giving yourself a little extra room to work with when using this, which is good advice regardless, and being gentle when cutting it to size.

Even after pressing it for weeks, it is near impossible to undo the curl. Its crinkles and creases extremely easily. It was mis-wound, meaning a third of the rule had massive and unremovable creases throughout. Even painters tape will cause this stuff to pile. It is just wretched quality.

Just what I needed for the kids at MDA camp! I volunteer as tge Art Director for children with neuromuscular disorders at Muscular Dystrophy Association. Decided to hold off project till next year. Hoping donations will afford us to purchase two extra rolls.

Expensive price for linen-TEXTURED paper, which I expected to be way more durable. The curl from the roll was impossible to undo without rips and dings. The length was disappointing too, 5 yards sure sounds like a lot more than it is.
