Will this preamp work with most mics with Shure TA4F connectors?

It didn't work for me because of the wiring differences on the mini connector.

I'm only getting a signal if I turn my gain to max with phantom power on and getting a lot of noise. Am I missing something?

My guess would be that the converter is not getting enough power via phantom power. I also have to run my gain at a higher side, but after a little tweaking it's normally fine. It might also be a combination of whatever microphone you're using and your phantom power. Hell, it's also possible that some of the sound you're hearing is the power in the XLR cable which means you have a cable that's going bad.

Es muy buen producto, volvió alámbrico mi Shure para instrumento inalámbrico, necesité de un convertidor phantom adicional y hay que recordar que aunque es una buena solución cualquier adaptador añadido hace que se pierda un poco la fidelidad del sonido original. Sabiendo esto, lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Ça sonne bien!

Je l'utilise avec un micro Beta98 et ca sonne vraiment bien et il a beaucoup de gain. Super rapport qualité/prix, c'est la moitié du prix d'un Shure.

Works with a Shure WL-185

If you have a Shure WL-185 this works a treat. Spent a couple of hours trying to get this info from the Shure website, but an email to them elicited a reply that their own mic preamp would work. That preamp costs 200 euros! save yourself a fortune and get this instead!
