This hot pen embossing tool kit is a fun addition to my craft supplies. It heats up quickly and is easy to use, even if you are new to embossing like me. There is a little bit of a learning curve, but after some practice, the results look really nice. My very first craft (pink leather keychain strap) turned out well after practicing on scrap material. It sold after posting a photo and description for our local craft sale. I’m looking forward to making more embossed crafts soon! Considering the good price, you get a lot with this kit, making it an easy one to recommend for yourself or as a gift!

This is a great value for the price. It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and foils beautifully. The size fits nicely in my hand and feels comfortable. The switch on the cord does sit in an awkward position that can annoy me a bit, so if I could have a do over I would order the cordless version!

This is the best, most consistent foiling pen on the market. Here’s what I love about it: - It has an on and off switch - The pen heats up super fast — less than one minute to full temp - Comfortable pen grip. It’s not too heavy. - Comes with multiple nibs sizes - Handy carrying case to contain all of the parts - Red light indicator tells you when the pen is switched on - Comes with multiple rolls of colored foil. - Incredible value! - Keeps a consistent temperature even when using for a long time. The cons: - The cord could be longer - I wish it came with a USB plug adapter Overall, this thing is a dang delight to use. I’m a professional calligrapher and use this at onsite events. I would highly recommend to both novices and professionals. Just buy it already!

It is good. I wish it got a little hotter. I find myself writing on top over a couple times to get good coverage, but it works. Maybe they all work like this.

This is a fun little tool, I use it to put titles on hand bound books. Takes some getting used to, and requires a steady hand

I bought this tool to start embossing titles onto leather books i bind myself. It takes some getting used to, you have to move slowly and deliberately to get it to transfer properly which can make handwriting suffer a bit, but with practice it'll improve an it's definitely a tool I'm glad I bought. After a few test pieces I used it on a book I rebound as a gift and my sloppy penmanship aside the tool performed as advertised.

If and when the foil actually does get transferred onto the desired surface, it barely "embosses" much in terms of depth. It looks like I just took a gel pen/metallic marker and drew on top. NOT WORTH the money at all imho.

Love this pen for PU leather but it melt thinner foil way too fast. Use it with light hand and high quality foil.

I like freehand foiling. for larger areas patience is needed it won't produce a smooth printed look.
